Lights Swirl

Lights swirl,
Bodies twirl,
Against an orchid sky,
Each open eye,
Sees the beauty in life,
Thrown away all strife,
To spend this time,

When you start to swirl
If you do not know where you are
Your head in the clouds
a taste of the off balance
just stop and look in my eyes.

Quite a Girl Who Would Dance and Swirl

liked to dance and swirl
wore necklace made out of pearl
she was quite a girl

bearer of terror that scared her

had been a bearer
terrible things and terror
that always scared her

Premium Member A Swirl of Amaretto

A swirl of amaretto
Revolves in my coffee -
Like a galaxy -
Shimmering and slow.

Dawn is utterly quiet;
Moon beams - thin and long -
Cleave to the flooring
Each protracted moment.

Swirl Curl

before you cut your hair
it was a long river
for swimming hands

took a boat ride
just you
and a flowing heart

above a rolling hull
a seagull
combed the sky

over your pale shoulders

Chocolate Swirl

Chocolate, nothing taste better than rich creamy chocolate
such a delight
Brown chocolate skin woman how sweet you must be
such a savory treat brown chocolate skin woman

In This Swirl Of Leaves

In this swirl of leaves
Of dark bewitchment
Wears them for a cloak, drabber
Common cold blown mopes
A soul, by Death's hand
Bereaved, driven mad.
Windless, do yet catch a wail
Midst the tattered hopes.

Premium Member Lost Swirl

Long ago there was a girl
who liked to just twirl

Folk thought she was mad
And that made her sad

So one day she stopped
Her cheerful spirit dropped

And from that day on
All her swirls had gone

    the staircase stops mid-air
      cobwebs choke in dust
    down, down critters skitter
      down invisible rails

       waters swirl
    up springs Hope
       without a cue card
     violins carry it off

Last Crimson Swirl

Drowning in self degradation
Deliberate affliction is exacerbating
Crystalline facade dulling senses
Normalcy, forgetting our consensus

Score, decennary years within
point, swirling under skin
Finality, deaths creeping in
Exodus, my last syringe

A Harmonious Swirl

Fashion house store, jeweller
Bistro, awned tasteful -
Spin out each of your light's
Burnt orange, tactful

This chill eve's way, waist-wrapped
Mists two, affianced.
For this one fine purpose;
Conspicuous doth
Show up, honours a love.
Soft, warm, now enhanced.

maelstrom hits the town wild wind whirling
                                                       roughened sea wind still twirling

In a Swirl of Stars

In a swirl of stars
I found you
Glitterbright
You lit up, an entire night

Poetry cannot say
Poetry cannot speak
The colours that I saw
In you
In the milky way

My heart
In a swirl of stars
To find you
In a night
Of deepest blue

I followed you
Glittering bright
For, in the darkest night
In a swirl of stars
I loved you too

Around the world
There are happenings
Events and Disturbances
Right here at home, Poets are gearing up on their journey of life experiences through their writing
Mindset in so many ways
Passing the days gone by
Emotions surging
Cries into shouts
Needing ears to listen and understand
Words to express
Poets being their own Commentators
As words turn
The mind explores
As highways accelerate
Words become dramatic
Active and aware
