Lost Swirl

Long ago there was a girl
who liked to just twirl

Folk thought she was mad
And that made her sad

So one day she stopped
Her cheerful spirit dropped

And from that day on
All her swirls had gone

Oh, no ... that girl needs her swirl back! Fine poem, Alexis. Maybe there's a two-part to this story perhaps. Lovely sad poem, dear friend. Love and joy always.

This reminded me of when I was that little. I would twirl until I got so dizzy and the earth beneath my feet felt like it was spinning... Lol! This poem is so good! I enjoyed it very much. Great job Alexis! Hugs and smiles :)

Children love to twirl around until they become dizzy. I love to watch it when my five-year-old granddaughter spins around and gets off-balance. It's so cute as is your poem Alexis! : )

There is a book called "Reviving Ophelia" and it deals with how society removes the primal joy from a girls heart. This is well expressed.
