Question

A new star has risen; the old ones have faded
I stand staring at it stupefied, longing, jaded

Are you an answer to my calls sent into space,
Or just an apparition clothed in glorious grace?

Scare Crow

Scare crow
Cold shivering down my spine I digress
In oblivion of misleading
Soothing I caress
My dreaming

Petrified stupefied I suppress
As it led my going
I became a numb horse
Enchanting

Premium Member Sordid Stories

Are the sordid stories about the surreal,
sharp, stoney Greek isles known as Sirenum Scopuli,
supposedly inhabited by sexy, sultry, sirens,
who salaciously seduced stupefied shipwrecked sailors
by simply singing lascivious songs,
surely mythologic or surprisingly true?

Challenging luck with hard work,
hanging on faith gets you nowhere;
Hoping to float but you need to swim,
drifting along won’t get you there;

Tied up choked by a winsome wish,
stupefied unable to survive;
Tried to coast down a lazy river,
nullified talent with no drive.

Silence

Words,  dumbstruck
Hushed, stuck
Seething, soundless
Tongue tied, speechless
Still, in a stupefied daze
Lashed by roaring waves
Of silence, pin drop
Strummed a mute song
With echoes across
The  entire cosmos

Premium Member Hurt

Being without you is starting to hurt,
you surround me and linger in the air;
I taste music and strawberry dessert;
Everything about you begins to blare,
my senses overload when you’re not there;
Rosy smoke in my eyes turning them red
your firestorm raged in so unexpected;
Stupefied my lungs and it’s hard to breathe
a repetitious beat on a drumhead;
Shivering is making me grind my teeth.

The Time Stabs Me

I'm the existence
from one drop of love
on this earth

from the nothingness
I'm embodied, a visible form
in the cage of time

in the reign of time
sometimes I defile my embodiment
forgetting it's kingship

the time stabs continuously
to remind the void erroneous body
but I'm stupefied

the time stabs continuously
but no scope to leave it
or to live without it!

Premium Member Moon Face Stares Perpetual

The moon's face is transfixed,
spellbound, staring, stupefied;
never blinking, never flinching
never looking away.
For Earth has locked the near side of the moon,
to forever face us.
It has locked the far, dark side,
to forever face away,
never to look upon us, never for us to see.
The moon's stare is perpetual, habitual, perceptual,
inescapable and unshakable;
always there, forever watching what we do.

Tropical Kiss

Kiss me goodbye
Until lips are numbed
The mouth is dry
And the mind stupefied

Lick, suck, taste
Exotic fruit to native lips
Thick, swollen purple-red
Taste a 1000 islands

Kiss me back
I’m high on my toes
Don’t hold back
I need you close

Only then will I let go
Once more please
Maybe then I’ll know
True love’s kiss

Kiss me goodnight
It’ll be enough
To miss you all night
The rest of my life

Mister Shrewd Eyes

You would think that I would try
To be a little more cautious,

And I commend those who can.
Yet I can’t help that I get a little…
  Stupefied
    Mystified
      Completely Mesmerized
When you get that gaze in your eyes.

I know what that look means.
It’s a frequency that I can count on.
When you get that grin
And put your hands behind your head.
I know what words are forming in your mind
Every single time.

And this is why
I hate you,
Mister Shrewd Eyes.

Happiness

Homecoming through furrows of snow
Absent is the dreariness of past days
Popping balloons to celebrate this event
Portents of laughter diminish long miles
Inclement is winter with its biting cold
Nobody seems annoyed on this snowy day
Exuberant spirits tune to a Christian Station
Simply stupefied by the wonderment around
Slumberous and white is the tamed landscape

Premium Member Lying Witch Twins

We are making hot chocolate the witch twins lied.
I could not see exactly what the cauldron had inside.
But I suspected they were not giving us the whole truth.
They are diabolical, Mrs. Hootie Belle and Mrs. J. Ruth.

Grickley Grackle, and snackle fizz. They were stupefied by Rack.
He is their uncle, and his sense of humor is macabre, rather black.
They turned into crocodiles with teeth that scared me away.
The last time I saw them they were chasing each other, I’d say.

Premium Member Clad in Winter

Whirling flakes of fantasy softly tango,
cheek to cheek, or modestly waltzing strangers.
Blizzard whiteout buffaloes moon and starlight,
   cloaking the lovers.

Frozen fountain, brazenly fetching, catching
coins of ice, those stupefied flattened pennies.
Queen of snow and fairies do bluster shavings.
   Breathless the statue.

Snowmen slurry tottering, wayward listing.
Melting, baring, chattering cherub crystals.
Water flowing merrily whistles sport at
   winter’s undressing.
