only sticks
the bare will be
covered up soon
leaves that will bud
come alive
and make me feel
young again

If Only I Had a Brain

crows laugh heckle and steal straw from the scarecrow if only i had a brain words hurt more than sticks and stones

Premium Member The Talk of the Town

Sticks and stones may break your bones

But names can put you down

I'd rather have broken bones

Than be the talk of the town

Sticks and Stones

Stick's and stones may brake my bones but words will never hurt me, But love
affairs and broken swears will leave me scared deeply.

Sticks and stones
will break my bones
but names will
never hurt me.
When times get tough
and I'm alone
your love will
not desert me.

The Ford

As the sticks and stones strike my bones from the tempest across the torrent ford,
I'm glad that we can find peace in knowing that the pen is mightier than the sword.

Sticks and Stones Slam Mean Girls Cruel Boys

Stick's and Stones
May break my Bone's

But I wonder if you will ever know ?
Or how it feels ?

That your Cruel Words and Taunts

Will haunt me to my Grave ?

Sticks and Stones

The stones that are thrown to break my bones
Pile up to they start to weigh
And the sticks don't decay
Nor do the words that you say
That I thought would never hurt me

Sticks and Stones

Wanting to own a new body.

To grow a new face.

Wishing to go unrecognizable
and
descend into space.

Off and unknown.

Confusion is home,
breaking your bones
with the sticks and the stones.
Form: Epic

The Map

So we wandered across the old forest,
Our shoes full of mud, our clothes covered in water
The rain poured down? as a waterfall would

The sticks and stones were our allies
As with every step
We could hear the crunching

Words Written In Stone

Quote, ( sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me ), end quote.
Words can turn into feelings, feelings can turn into actions.
Actions can turn into sticks and stones, even words can break your bones!

Bury My Soul

Bury my soul in autumn leaves
So that the wind might blow away
Memories of mistakes I made
That breaks my heart today

Sticks and stones can break the bones
But words can crush the spirit
Raise the bar but once again
And I'll still try to clear it

Final Destination

Spinning top doesnt stop
Nor does the pendulum on the clock
Sticks and stones on brittle bones
In the end its pointless what you own
Scrimp and save, still a slave
Nothing follows to the grave
Sweet surrender, heavens tender
One life passes, another rendered

Sticks and stones won't break my poems
and terms will never use us,
the artist's hope goes it alone,
while others just diffuse us!

Hip and hop won't take my crop
and placard's mentors lose us,
my only truth is still unknown ~
until my lines . . . . transfuse us!

Bean Bags

throwing around
all of wisdom's
words about
stones

sticks and stones
glass houses
and who was
the first to

cast one
all these
so wise
to live by

but one absurd
exception not
by meaning
but suggestion

for why
would
i ever
want

to
kill
two
birds

Earth

Equinox
Mother Nature
Minerals and ore
Sticks and stones
This is the time
Of year
To rejoice
Reflect
And give back
To the earth
Who hold us near
Protect us
This is the time
For a new beginning
A time of healing
Forgiving
Rejoicing
For today
Tomorrow
And future

Words

As the little child desperately looks around,
for comfort, he is hurting.
The mean boys are teasing
and won't leave him alone.

His mother tells him,
"Sticks and stones can break
Your bones, but words can never hurt you."

But as he grows,
He soon knows
Words can break his heart.

Untitled

I don't know what it is,
But I know that I want it

So you can go ahead and point your fingers,
But at least I can admit it

Say what you want,
Sticks and stones

You'll never see,
But it's everything to me

So what if it'll be a long journey,
At least I'm making something of myself

Rebound

Turn around and walk away
Deny me all you want
Betray me if that pleases you
I'm tired of your taunt

You don't want me
This you've shown
 Sticks and stones
Are all you've thrown

Cast me out; you always have
Stomp me into the ground
Do whatever you need to do
My soul it will rebound

Premium Member This Old Man

This world seen through an old man's eyes

Leathered skin both weathered and wise

With aching back and brittle bones

Still, unafraid of sticks and stones

Vision dims but memory's clear

Knowing full well the end is near

A victim of time, oh what a shame

Back to the dust from whence he came

Welcome death, why.
Ones who don't, ones who try.

Life is precious, who says..
Liars of happiness, ones who dread..

Construed intentions.
Dangerous Liaisons.

Daggered Heart.
Bled its part.

Cruel words, condone.
Sticks and stones.

Dare to perceive.
To intrigue.

Not to blame.
Or be shamed.

sticks and stones
can break bones
but my words
only creates tones

the tool of the wise
is his pen
the resting place of the lion
is it den
only a fool trust in his gun
and that is the difference
between the moon and the sun

i am a lion
but do not feed on flesh
i like to go natural
for it will just make me fresh

Primitive Weapon

Roses are red
violets are blue
Your mouth is rubber
My feelings are glue
Why must you hate
I haven't a clue
Your narcissistic
Negative mind
Affects us too
Every time
Soon you'll find
Yourself alone
But before I go
I've got one more poem
Sticks and stones
May break my bones
But your words really f****** hurt
