Sticks and Stones

only sticks
the bare will be
covered up soon
leaves that will bud
come alive
and make me feel
young again

New beginnings are always possible, if we just let them happen... This is a beautiful poem, full of meaning and imagery. Very well written and expressed, Kim!

Can't come soon enough for me. Wednesday it'll be 60 degrees here. (Friday - snow, of course). But the trees look out-of-place without their foliage...

Especially with no snow all season! We usually get one day, but not this year!

hi Kim, I think you’re talking about life answering maybe I’m wrong that’s how I read it. I live in wine country, and the trees are already in bloom here. Even though Southern California had snow, none here I really don’t like berry trees in winter I find that depressing and I’m a real Spring freak find you.Xx

Thank you! You have been an encouragement today. I haven’t really been able to write much this week. Today I feel better.
