The parade came to town

With plenty of clowns

The marching drums and playing flutes

Decorated floats and cars that hoot

By-standers staying warm

Watching the parade go down the street

While clowns are handing out treats

which all the kids think is neat

At the end of the parade

Comes a float that everyone wants to see

Can you imagine who that might be

It is Santa in his sleigh

Saying Christmas is on it's way....

Up-standers ask a bully to please stop.
But not in a bullying voice.
Understand?
Head nod.

Down-standers join the bully.
They call the victim names too
Scared they will be the next target if they do not.
Cowards.

By-standers stand by,
Trying to ignore what is happening, feeling badly later
Wishing they had been an up-stander. 
So what do you want to be?

An Up-Stander, a Down-Stander or a By-Stander?

We look down,
Trying to rid the frown
Threw up on our face
We're no equal
To people
Who spit a bitter taste

 Yeah,
Victims soon turned up-standers
Shining bright lights 
On those Bullies
And those bystanders

Who walk by
When someone is being victimized
Bring them down to size
Show them the bully
Through the victims eyes

And maybe that will help
Those bullies understand
That before they make us drop,
Their undermining
And put-downs
Really,truly has to stop...
