Premium Member Both Feet On the Ground

The world is not in pause;
It turns round and round,
Our feet on the ground.
A spinning top,
It doesn't wobble and stop,
A gifted miracle we don't fly off.

My head is spinning so fast it will not stop,
It's whizzing around like a spinning top.
My brain is buzzing like a bee,
I'm going so fast I cannot see.
I feel so tired I want to drop.

Upon The Ice Floor

the
ice skater
twirled like
a
blue crystal
spinning top
while
she
flowed
above
the
ice ring
like
a
cloud
skater
making
her
signature
soft landing
upon
the
ice floor

Premium Member The World Is Round

The world is round,
Never pause playground
Turns round and round,
Our feet on the ground
We never fall-off
We never fly off
A spinning top,
Doesn't wobble, never stop.

Blackest night is slowly fading away,
teasing earth with new dawn radiance,
golden soon for the current holiday,
neon ferris wheel follows moon dance,
novel and charming in the new old way,
like a vivid spinning top of chance.

Final Destination

Spinning top doesnt stop
Nor does the pendulum on the clock
Sticks and stones on brittle bones
In the end its pointless what you own
Scrimp and save, still a slave
Nothing follows to the grave
Sweet surrender, heavens tender
One life passes, another rendered

Premium Member A Happy Minor Holiday

A happy minor holiday
  That's what Chanukah was
'Till its proximity to Christmas
   gave it an American buzz

In days of old, we lit the candles
Spun the dreidel** for mere pennies --
Now with ceremonies in the public square
   and lavish presents, oh-so-many

Chanukah's theme of dedication
   ~ Does there remain any?

** a dreidel is Yiddish for a spinning top

Premium Member A Purpose

Life took me for a ride
                 up
It took me
It took me
                down
It spun me round and round
like a spinning top () ()
unknowing where it will stop
out of control one minute
then in control the next
changes and more changes
arranging and rearranging
Building and taking apart
in the journey called life
brought to a place
to fulfill a purpose.

Spin

All along, it’s always spinning! Spinning always out of control!! The whole time never falling, but It never had a soul! Symbolically Becoming, the meaning of our Lives, the spinning top keeps Spinning, as if it was alive! So when you feel the Spiral and not know Where begins, Look for The top That Sp I N S ! …………Let the top spin and fall so you don’t have to!..............

Something Funny

Something funny for a man
Funny for a girl
Something that will make you glad
Copy for a whirl

Better than the ball and bat
Cuter than a doll
Faster than the spinning top
and glossy for us all

Something that will make you laugh
Take away your fear
Come at you with all it has
and leave you feeling dear

Take you up to highest heights
and sing with you goodnight
Then tuck you in with folded quilt
and carry you tonight.
