sinking to bottom
the bits of worthless matter ~
all who do evil
Date written:05/05/2023
Its prefferable to allow speech to be free
For 'only then' can others consider?
Of the orators intent; and
Ideas? Also mentallity.'
I have never found that one true love
though I have played the part expected
by societal decree~
I have only ever
loved myself, you see,
not any one;
not any
single
thing.
Darkness
A locus for expression of tears
Muffled thoughts grow vociferous
Suppressed emotions arise uprighteous
Societal demands and self interests lock horns
only to be put to rest before dawn
As a societal pariah,
am I not deserving a grand denouement?
When my tale reaches zenith,
will I be shackled,
by the abhorrent atrocities,
your accursed kind has wrought,
upon my tempestuous form?
Light my pyre,
I need a tan.
Sickness incredulously slipped the noose
wormed its way past healthy constitutions
and lodged spear like into Adams’ rib
Tenaciously Life held back
marshalling the frontline
lymphocytes funneled nutrients
from Mother’s soup
into the societal fray.
what I wouldn't give to erase
from the earth’s weary face
all that is wicked and base:
warmongers and evildoers,
pre-emptive troublemakers,
rapacious, societal leaders,
crooked empire-builders;
then maybe peace may stir
and finally reign…forever.
Dirtiest of men in the cosmos
Is not that hater of cleaning fluids
Ring-leader of genocide he is not
Tiger-leader of a nation he is not
Irritating witch in society he is not
Earnestly rich burglar he is not but
Smack traitor of societal virtues
The corrupter of the young is dirtiest
Corrosion within a hobbling democracy
Altruism died along side a Calvary king
United we stand divided we'll get mauled
Severe stratification at the political ball
Time bomb attached to societal tumors
Insidious forces lurking about a white room
Caucuses are in the teeth of the 666 beast.
If we lived in a state
With no societal contract
Formal laws, constrained movement
or expression
Would that bring out
a hidden harmony?
or would humanity
debase and debauch
having no recourse
to reward and punishment?
Would we still exist, love, and share joy?
With no social control or design?
If during a meal, I put a finger in the gravy
and begin to write with the gravy,
am I being creative and philosophical
or just being absurd?
Am trying to read about this technique,
perhaps, a revolt to societal norm?
Philosophers seem to have an answer,
well thought out
I'm simply sloppy!!
Form:
interpersonal
social
emotional
masquerade
dance
impersonate
socially
acceptable
norms
play the
part not
so well
the mask
always seems
to fall off
the disguise
always seems
to rip apart
always seem
to lose the
game of
societal
charades
that we play
every single
day
One of five sisters near Meryton born, Elizabeth Bennet,
whose towering zeal, extolled in deft prose at its zenith,
hailed as Lizzy by some, prone to mock prim societal flaws,
with cheek and wry humour, irreverent “guff”aws!
Lierary figure in work Pride And Predjudice
whose author was Jane Austen
Today decided to
Play hooky from
All responsibility
Took a mental health
Day away from the hubbub
Of the societal rat race
Took time out to set back
And take a lode off my tired feet
Took a day out of the busy week to
Take a step aside along the road
To stop and smell the flowers
That we often take for granted
Buring eyes of my contempt,
please take notice of my hint,
of your glares I wish exempt,
away from your coloring tint.
Let me forget paying your friendly rent,.
Confine me to my nest.
In societal dues, I'm spent,
leave me to solitary rest.
All your social circles make me weary,
I just bide until my sweet solitary.
Listen to poem:
Storms of Normalcy
David J Walker
Choose your form of
Insanity and
Embrace it
Lace it up like
High-top boots
Lose your view of
Normality
And the maladies
Of societal norms
There will be
Storms
There will be visions
Of a different future
That only you can see
When you weather the
Storms of normalcy
a societal façade to please the outside
no true emotion
seeking pleasure from others
getting sucked dry by leeches
accommodating others' moods
acting according to how they act
striving to please them
finding little comfort in them
totally free in solitude
maximum expression
cortisol nonexistent
consistently complacent
She, life, is for living her,
not for thinking her,
you have to forget yourself,
gliding in personal and
societal avenues,
acting and reacting
attracting and rejecting
forgetting where and when
was the start
and where and when
it's the end.
Live it like it's eternal,
die tomorrow but today
plan what to do
the day after tomorrow.
He hates the sessions
The therapist
Desperately trying
To have him conform
To the accepted
Societal mold
Yet
He chose his path
A long time ago
Now
They deem him
Broken
Yet
Time and again
He has to bend over
Betray logic
To accommodate
Now
The result is an
Hairline crack
He can feel
The pressure
Building up
(Ackmi Luis 2016)
There is room for doubt
with or without consequences
Punishment or judgment
heaven or hell
An unconditional truth
no deviation
anchored in principles
Convenience or the opinions of others
Adapting and societal norms
Mutual understanding and respect
The question of divinity
an intensive search
Girls just wanna have fun
In name of culture and religion
when societal discipline suffocates,
Subtle souls gasp to breathe for freedom,
yearning to live their life to the full,
to cherish and unfold His veiled treasures,
Girls just wanna have fun !

For contest "Triple threat" by Casarah
Inspired by theme one
So many Societal flaws
He's so flawless
Always doing what's right
Maintaining
His ancestral lineage.
So many weaknesses
He's so strong
Always standing firm
Striving
To liberate all from their inexperience.
So many opportunities
He was given none
But, never hated
Neither did he switched
He's one of a kind
Very rare and irreplaceable.
At times
when you
don't want to
participate in a
societal function
you leave the scene,
wander through
the canyons, crevices
and hallways
of illusive deviations
pondering the ways, means
of your survival.
You don't intend
to be antisocial
but sometimes
you can't find
the essence, purpose
of all the distractions
that others consider vital
to their being.
Don’t kill the light’s
Too much is left on the table
Too much.
To leave
My life, the greatest fable.
Losing touch – lost belief
Tragic origins serve no excuse
Defended Resisted
Stubborn and vulnerable
All charity I refuse.
Another victim of societal abuse
Not willing – or even able
To see clearly
To unfetter and choose.
End.

This cold world, with cold games
a lot they stole, people have lost their control
More then self
killing children’s mental health
Media, the "in and now"
we rely to teach our children how
never leading by example; with self-appraisal
rather filling the next shot double
Will these children of the meek ever be free?
From this, self-loathing transmittal societal disease.
