One True Love

I have never found that one true love
though I have played the part expected
by societal decree~
I have only ever
loved myself, you see,
not any one;
not any
single
thing.

I too, have struggled with love. To love other people, you must first love yourself. I have learnt how to do that now, I love myself. Maybe soon I will share that with others. Beautiful poem.
