say the words I long to hear
I will be able to soar
like birds spread their wings and fly
fear will be futile

I am far more than the person I was before,
I am worthy of so much more,
But first I need to learn how to soar,
As I run further along this shore.

Underscore
Shaking beliefs
To the core
My heart is branded

Because it’s you
that I adore

Arise from situations

Spreading your wings
Following the path
Dictated by the heart
Liberating finally
Heavy burdens carried for years
Emerging again with a bright glint

Soar

Soar O’ heart of mine
Towards where the sun meets the earth

Soar O’ heart of mine
Toward the moon which engulfs the night sky

Soar O’ heart of mine
Toward the heavens where it will hurt no more

Premium Member To Soar Once More

I
saw
the swing
old and tall,
and I remembered
as a child how I loved to swing
higher and higher until my feet could touch the sky.
I sat on the worn canvas seat, and then slowly, so slowly began to soar once more.

Be Willing To Soar

Be willing to soar
Spread your wings and fly
You have one life to live
Just reach for the sky
Climb that mountain
Put your heart into everything that you do
Carry out your mission
Think things through and through

To Fly

I
look up.
My
eyes squint
in the bright
glare of
the
sun's rays,
and I feel
pure elation
as I watch
my kite
soar.
Sadness
dissipates,
for now
I
am set
free.

Premium Member A Different Meter

A very novice poet am I,
a fledgling, just learning how to fly.
My thoughts may climb as I flap my wings
but my anchored feet to this earth still clings.
I hope in time these wings won't teeter
and I can soar in a different meter.

Premium Member Sight For Soar Eyes

the snow falls heavy on wet grounds
it's sight brings sad eyes
to those who want spring
it's cold bitterness nips at every nose
and shudders those who find it blinding
snow in Ohio is a bad four letter word
followed by rain and hail

Quatrain #342:
SOAR

Speak fondly here of love that knows,
Observe how cheer goes with the flow;
Applause firms near the flight most bold,
Ride that odd fear that propels show.
