Warning

On the pathway, just
a snakeskin, the snake itself
long gone. So why this
rattle-tingle in my brain?
Why look in all directions?

Misty as the powder of my soul
The demi-god of legend
Haunts like snakeskin
Wandering my dreams
Igniting my being
Begging for your touch
Smoldering my loneliness
Forever

Premium Member Snakeskin

Snakeskin in my garden
About two feet long
Flimsy iridescent
Not very strong
Uneven texture
Pearlescent hue
One inch around
What can I do
Looking for it’s owner
Must be bigger now
Reptiles not my favorite
Wish it was a cow

The Written Assurance of Life

Murmurs of doubt peel off the page
Lost lesions flee from snakeskin
An endless stymied spiral recedes
As coarse winds blow apart overgrown weeds

The scattered feelings of yesterday
Are embalmed from a smooth drifting marvel
Renewed to pursue this grand calling

Attired in black and red tonight
The way you sang was out of sight
Head and shoulders above the rest
Hands down you'll always be the best
The reasons why are clear to me
And to anyone with ears to see
But if they're not here's one that suits
Just s-p-e-c-t-a-c-u-l-a-r in snakeskin boots

Anatomy of Love

Eros has rattled my bones
waxing your spirit
through snakeskin
I travelled rotating moons
entering state of beloved
Sharing enticed journey
through eyelids closed
Venusian fossiles lived
between the space
of a heartbeat
Loins of Lotus opened
in waning silence
Perhaps, never
will we breathe
deeper than this

Sublime

Sublime
I've been shedding snakeskin...
so blind
I've been destroying the noise
my worst enemy

Deconstructing my identity
soaking shoulder deep
in oceans of humility
feasting upon fruits of tranquility

breaking shackles
freeing ankles
from bloody mud puddles
razor blade anxiety

rising to a place
where yesterday
flees irrelevant
tomorrow
is insufficient

Yet
this moment
of SUBLIMITY
right now...
forever remains
a fearless paradise

Deconstructing my identity
