HOLIDAY SLIVER BELLS

Premium Member snow remnant

Sliver of snow remains
No longer pristine or pretty
Gray and gravely, gray-scale ugly
Dog rolls in it, loving the cold wetness

The Sky

Night sky

Star
Shining
Shimmering
Stunning bright light
Sliver

Stark
Sterile
Show no Colour
Seizing black hole
Silent
Form: Lanterne

Azure Silks Blown In the Wind

Floating towards new moon--
a blanket flecked in diamonds
slips over the horizon.
A sliver of light over
azure silks blown in the wind.

Red Deer Grazing

Spring came back today
With sunshine and sliver clouds
Over the forest's frindge

Red deer celebrate the day
Grazing on shiny fresh green

Moon

the moon tonight
a sliver of pie
in the sky
obscured by clouds

knows

it's luminous
bulbous, and enormous
no matter what
anyone sees

This Is the End of the Innocence

Sliding unto the floor; grasp her window well...
A sliver in light which wanes as waves, goodbye

                        ...."In Progress." *

His final shingle.

                                      Covers a moonlight sliver

                                         The exhausting day

Shiver

In the dull winter,
When all appears black and white
And earth in slumber;
I feel each splinter,
Each frozen sliver of spite,
And dream of summer.

Premium Member Sliver of Hope

A sliver of hope
For this Christmas wish I have
I’ve slashed way down low
Hurt my knees below
Beyond all heartfelt caring
May she dream of me

Behind His Scenes

A riddle even unto me these words you see; truth...
I write in shards and shattered, to mimmick my mind
Deep inside of which echoes this life; but a sliver as time.

Demolition

I BUILT A WALL
SO HIGH
ONLY A SLIVER
SEES THROUGH
ENCASED
IN GLOOM
DREAD PILED HIGH
CHAOS LOOMS
PUSH BACK
PULL THROUGH
KNOCK DOWN
THE BRICKS
AND BROKE FREE.

Premium Member Unclear Clarity

sliver of a glimpse of a glance of a glint of something
unclear, fuzzy, yet a perspective and opinion are formed.
perspective solid, in stone without reasonable clarity.

Dance

When father said I wasn’t good enough to dance,
I could only wish for a sliver of a chance,
To float free and fluid across the stage,
The music a key, my body locked cage.

Premium Member A Certain Lightness Brought To Darkness

Sometimes in the latest night
I tiptoe amongst the stars -
a carpet littered with shimmer;
always careful not to catch
my sole upon - Snag!
a silvered sliver
of moon...

Premium Member When I Was Drawn To Dawn

Slowly, a sliver of lemon meringue began coloring the horizon beyond my valley home. Drawn to dawn, I let myself succumb to the beauty of it all.

Premium Member sliver of my thoughts

I sit and I ponder and I ponder and I sit
Am I a genius or a nitwit?
Honeysuckle tree makes fun of me
A bee sits down and stings my knee
I feel less wise than a renegade tree
me

Premium Member God gave us Nature

moon was perfect tonight, powerful crescent
she shone a sliver of light on a lone pheasant
gray wolf thought the moon was effervescent
nature shows out, God’s loveliest present

Orange or Silver?

There once was a coat metallic silver,
Style it wrong and you’d surely shiver.
With a leather sliver,
And a morning breeze quiver,
The tattered orange would be quite the giver!

Early Morning

Early morning walking,
Cars sugar coated,
Moon a silver sliver
In an awakening sky..
Night has left a frosty.day.
But soon the thaw
Will lick at your door
And the snow will go.

Vanishing

I moved the shelves to clean behind,
Tidying my thoughts –
A sliver of lizard slithered out.

As I stepped aside
The lizard slipped in the gap again,
Its copper body
Vanishing.
