In Clear Sapphire Sky

in clear sapphire sky

the bright sliver of moon glows

                  ...owl ruffles feathers

An excellent haiku poem. I've seen so many, but this one is clearly one of the best.

I like this one too. I am seeing a real quality shining in the members' haiku lately! I think all you guys are taking private lessons!!! Which is your entry for charles? I bet it's marvelous.

There used to be owls in my backyard in Tallahassee, Francine. Every evening a strange-sounding one would serenade. Love the image of this owl beneath the "sliver of moon." As for riding, I started around age 5 too, but I never owned a horse. How lucky you were to finally get one! If you still enjoy riding, that's another thing we could do when we finally meet. Love, Carolyn
