Past sixties !
I didn't intend to be a hippie
just happy...
I never wanted "power"
it was enough for me to have flower...!
I met a sixties hippie
his hair it was quite flippy
I said he should cut it
he told me to shut it
oh man, did he get lippy
Child of the Sixties,
I wish I'd seen the Beatles.
How could I have known?!

picking up the tab for me
drinking a Tab in the sixties

i never smoked pot
apparently popular
back in the sixties
none admitted it
now everyone tells me this
my friends are potheads
a sixties bouffant
full skirt on a cotton dress
scarlet red lipstick
shes queen for a day
tall high heels and pearls
ideal woman
Sixties girly dress
frothy scratchy petticoat
patent leather shoes
pretty lace anklets
ready for Sunday School
twirling in the rain
He was a hot shot
Who wore hot pants
Which got him into the hot seat
Because this was the sixties
Before Freddy Mercury made it okay.
Tab Hunter
Frankie Avalon
Rock Hudson
dream boats from the sixties
on the covers of every teen magazine
they still make me sigh deeply
Simon and Garfunkel
Guitar ready and in hand
Made hit as a sixties band-
The Tom & Jerry duo change of name
Bringing forth popular fame.
with that orange hat
I would have matched my lipstick
Said a teen of the twenties
Who did not know
We did not have that lip color
in the sixties
Avon’s lipsticks had many names
Cherry magic, strawberry wonder, chili pepper
This was the sixties
the goal was to have red lips
the more brazen the better
Daisies in her hair
a Volkswagen bug
Giant yellow happy face
California dreaming
Beach Boy’s Music
Little Ole Lady from Pasadena
Sixties songs in my heart
Mom captured my truth,
As a sixties flower child,
Yet in bloom of youth!
The above sketch was, of course, done by my late mother when I was a teenager.
playful dolphins popped out of lake
frolicking like sixties Chip and Dale cartoons
Bringing a smile to my face
adding a new kind of joy to sundown at the lake
playful dolphins popped out of lake
frolicking like sixties Chip and Dale cartoons
Bringing a smile to my face
adding a new kind of joy to sundown at the ocean
steel mill smoke stack
anvil and hammer
my will for sure
sprinkle the cotton
hot steam on my face
press down hard
don't beak the board
chore of the sixties
The Sixties are over
the 90's are here
Let's head out for an ice cold beer
Later..........
The 90's are over
It's 2007
Listen once more to
"Go to Heaven"
The sixties are
over
The 90's are here
Let's head out for an
ice cold beer
Then......
The 90's are over
it's 2010
The man said
If not now when?

It's goodbye to mad Frankie Fraser
The East Ends gangster appraiser
So loyal to the Kray's
To his very last day
One the Sixties ultimate erasures

I was thrilled to what the handsome gondolier wore
black and white striped shirt, straw hat,
red bow dripping off back of hat….
like Sophia Loren films from the sixties

Audrey Hepburn
the darling of the sixties
in Paris making it posh and pretty
enticing her viewers to want to see the Eiffel Tower
Making the French appealing to viewers
