Like a Siren song
Across the oceans I call to you
Sunlight fills my heart

But your Congressman says money talks!

Siren
Form: Verse

Feathered Siren

The delicate feather
Of a golden winged bird
A song like soft rain
Green grass with blades of iron
A young girl pretending to be fine
The bird merely a siren.
Form: Lyric

Siren

And so it begins once again.

The heart kickstarts into the familiar rhythm
The mind recalls patterns of relentless thoughts.

The body moves in time to her music.

Siren of the Sea

Sabine a spoil, selfish siren of the sea
her song is sweet as honey
luring sailors to their deaths
then sneering as their ships
smashed upon the shore.

the bubble
             burst
indolesence
         resumes
deflated
shaken
sombre
         inside,
phobias form;
pity,pity
performs
her
     siren
             song...

Siren

You are formed of the wind
That bears your name

In the breathless hollows
Of the gale
I hear your song

Like a Siren culled
From an ancient storm
It calls to me

And I am loathe
To turn away
And from you flee

Premium Member A Lonely Siren

A lonely siren pierces the night
     commanding attention
        stillness betrayed

  A lonely siren captivates
     commanding sorrow,
         fear and hope

  The lonely siren fades
       in the distance
        prayers follow

Siren,

your fluid
hymn lures
me past tense
gray gulls

who eye me,
anxious
for my safe
return

They circle,
keening...

and the tide
moves to
free me of
               my moorings

Siren Song

I hear your call
Your siren song
Dancing on the wind
The words tangle in my hair
I hold tight to my resolve
Pray that my strength holds
I can't give in
I can not lose
Goddess help me
Allow me to stand tall
To face this demon
Help me say no

Siren songs float over silver seas
stirring deep desire in hearts of mortal men,
lured like madora moths to light
they swiftly steer a tumultuous tide
to rocky roost on steep stone,
knowing now a last terrible trap
as destiny cuts the thread of life.

Premium Member siren guessing

sirens sound serious tonight
accident on I-70?
motorcycle that has been run off the road?
cows on the entrance ramp?
pigs running wild after a hog truck spill?
the corn princess’s convertible overturned?
By now you may have guessed, I originate from Iowa.

Premium Member Sound of Siren

Sirens in more than one direction.
First responders
My soul quiets as I listen
They seem close then further away
As they leave I feel my breath leaving
And I realize I have been holding it.
I relax for a few minutes until the next siren
Perils of living in a city

You suck me
With effortless ease
Deep into the gyre of your charms
Every single time, yes, even though
I couldn't be more aware
I ought to know better.
You live to do that to me...
And I love it!

Siren At Three In the Morning

Siren at Three in the Morning

You want to abide by custom
but what kind of card
do you send
a man of those years
swept through the night
in a riot of snow
and wet streets
to a hospital quit
one month ago,
a fifth of his gut left,
that eaten through?

Siren of Winter

On the coldest nights, when the air and land conspire
And the winds sing their siren's serenade of desire
An unbecoming part inside causes me to rise
And festoon my frame with my most festive attire
To step outside for a walk

A silent stroll amidst the hidden horrors of the times

Siren Singing

siren singing
her enchanting
song so sweetly
enticing the mind's
of her victims making
them seek out her
loving embrace
temptress so seductive
with every note song
don't be fooled by her
fake facade of innocence
she is an experienced beast
who artfully seeks out her pray

The Siren

There are told ancient tales of mystery,
of singing maids beneath the sea
with golden tails and flowing hair
how gullible sailors they do ensnare.
Enchanting words their perfect pitch
With their voice, they can bewitch
entranced naive souls, to enslave
enticing them to their watery grave.

Siren (In the Dark)

I circumnavigate a resplendent globe.
A fiery tangle of thorns and strobes.
The masses rise up against my imagination.
Diseased, unwashed and tragic devastation.

A siren calls out in the dark night.
A call to arms a way to fight.
Oppressive whispers in my ear.
I'm never scared but yet I fear.
war

Siren Song

I thought I heard an island siren croon a sophisticated tune with words in song about the moon in June as a big bright and bold balloon enchanting music captured me shipwrecked my heart is all at sea or am I wrong imagining things it's only the waves and the wind that sings

Siren Sing For Me

Too many sailors who have lived to tell,
Her siren song permeates,
day by day it fell.
Luring in ships to crash,
break,
splinter on cliffs,
She masters ethereal crescendos,
opera riffs.

Each day leads boats astray,
the reel of the sea witch,
Nay terror,
her voice pitch rich is much more bewitch.
