Confessed

He confessed, he was a thief
Who stole everything, even a leaf
Found out that he was a joke
So he quickly stole a smoke
It gave him a sigh of relief

:sigh of Relief:

Words spoken in silence,

[When language does not suffice]

Like a look or a tear, although concise

Can echo a lifetime in your ear,

Much louder than those you can hear.

Beauty In Nature

When I am having anxious thoughts
I look at the beauty around me
And breathe a sigh of relief
Because I know life is full of beautiful things
And all my worries are unnecessary.

Sigh of Relief

“When I'm anxious, I breathe a sigh of relief... The reason is simple, Powerful force surrounds me… When all my fears appear, there is a reassurance The reason is simple, He is there..."

A Note To the The Ones He Left

Have tightens the necklace around his neck to kill the pain.
Empty bottles, and smoke fills the room.
The one he loved left, with his heart.
Now he breathes a sigh of relief.
As the pain he's felt falls to the ground.

Jesus scooped the child up into his arms
she put her arms around Him
they clung to each other
for they were whole only when together
her mother sighed with relief
dreaming that her daughter was finally safe
and had her hair back

The Dry January

There goes the dragging January
When the cash resources are low
And the verses few n far between
And the heat wave unrelenting..
And a sigh of relief for feb.. is here
This year feb.. has an extra day
But it ought to be better than jan..

The Bag of Spiders

When I pulled open the bag laden with captives
Their eyes breathed a great sigh of relief
Pouring out of the bag like a plague
They scuttled off towards the freedom trail
And wove silken webs to capture their enslavers

Well, wouldn’t you?

Premium Member Evil

Evil surrounds our everyday lives
Like a comforter on a hot summer night.
Smothering
Tossing and turning
Trying to decide
Debating and wondering
Uncomfortable
Until
Finally kicking free
Heaving a sigh of relief
The right choice is made.

Nightmare

Alone in the wind as you sail as far as your imagination can take you
Your Dream feels so real that it starts to fade
Scary pictures pop up one by one
You begin to sweat
Waking up
you take a big sigh of relief
You say
"wow what a Nightmare"

Premium Member Another Texas Sunset

long day wraps up
the clouds roll in
gilded by a retiring sun
releasing a sigh of relief

ultimately i'm thankful
for my many blessings
as i prepare to wind down
to recharge and renew

tomorrow
will be upon us
soon enough

My Prison

in all this pain
death is a sigh of relief
but not an option for me
there are debts that have to be collected
so until the shackles are released
i shall live on in misery
through death or life
they won't let me go
there for i shall reap what i have sown
and in agony i remain alone

Impulse 44

I thought to myself, if I could draw,
I’d draw this. But I can’t so I won’t.
Instead I’ll try to describe it. It’s kind
of like realizing you were okay after
all; after this not-so-tragic tragedy,
you were fine. It’s like a sigh of relief.
You’re not numb, you’re at peace; you
just haven’t realized it.

My Escape

They pulled her body from the sea,in the afterlife she wanted to be,no worrys,no cares,no hunger,no pain,no more addiction, injected into those veins..A sigh of relief,a feeling of calm,no more walking the streets,no feeling of self harm..The needles, the knives,no punches,no strife, all gone in a second somebodys wife..

Breathe Not Your Last

B-reathe not your last,
E-arly Monday first of May;
T-rials in life are suffocating,
H-eave a sigh of relief everyday.

L-ive another fresh morn,
A-fter the sleepless night;
S-tart with a bright hope,
T-o set everything aright.
U-se the brand new day, as the time is flying fast;
A-im to see the morrow, breathe not your last.
Form: Acrostic

Lost Strength

R-egain your lost strength,
O-nce your soul is weary;
S-imply pray to the Lord,
E-arly sixth of February.

A-fter your mind is exhausted,
S-imply go to sleep;
I-t will also rest your tired eyes,
D-ream of the promise to keep.
R-elax at the seashore, take a deep audible breath;
E-xpress the sigh of relief, to find the lost strength.
Form: Acrostic

Lethal Finger

Hold down lethal anger
 Don’t squeeze anxious finger
A young bullet full of life ready to hit
To hug the chest and deeply fit
An extra hole it will leave
Followed by a sigh of relief
      Guilt will be born
To be carried like a thorn
Hurt with every move you mistake
A haunting ghost of a deadly mistake

I'M Free To Fly

I’m Free To Fly

No ifs. No ands, No buts. No whys.
No laughter. No tears. No hellos or goodbyes
Peace has been made with the regrets of the past.
With a sigh of relief, I’ve made it at last.
I know where I’m going and where I have been.
No more questions a new life to begin.
No ifs. No ands. No buts. No whys.
With burdens laid down, I’m free to fly

Premium Member If You Are Harboring a Fugitive

Police’s loudspeaker projected all over the neighborhood.
“IF YOU ARE HARBORING A FUGITIVE, TURN
HIM IN RIGHT AWAY! THERE WILL BE NO
PUNISHMENT IF THE PERPETRATOR COMES
OUT IN THE NEXT HOUR!”

“Do you think they mean me?” my guest asked.
“Doubtful,” I told her. “You are invisible to
non-believers, right?”

Stegosaurus Faerie breathed a sigh of relief.

Waiting On My Moment

Life comes with everyday struggles

My tears will turn will into hard work

My prayers will be answered one day

My struggles will turn to a sigh of relief

Just waiting on God to give me my chance

For now I pray and cry these tears of hope

The struggles I live for today is going to be the success of tomorrow

For I'm just waiting on my moment......

A Sigh of Relief

A whoop and a holler
Of – not disbelief –
But of unbridled joy
With a sigh of relief

Is the way that so many
Can finally feel
For the end of this era
Will help us to heal.

We’re yearning for decency,
Craving some peace,
While hoping that hatred
Will lessen or cease.

A miracle’s needed
For us to unite
But today’s the beginning
To making things right.
