The Other Side of the Ticket
Sometimes one needs to shelve the dreams
Meet them once a while

And busy youself
with life...

Sam
We stayed up,
on the phone.
And man his voice! such a tone!
From 8 to 12,
No such time passed like a book hidden on a shelve.
It is meaningless, suddenly I saw.
The passion, smooth yet raw.
Hugs and cookies...

Priest Never Planned
Priest Never Planned

Priest never planned on being a fool;
So followed God and His golden rule;
Took Bible from shelve,
And into he did delve;
Jesus road donkey and not a mule.

Jim Horn

(Or won't find mule in a swimming pool;
Was Trump who likes having a loose tool.)...

Premium Member One Glass Too Many
One two go to the loo,
Three-four fall on the floor
Five-six feeling quite sick
Seven-eight can't stand up straight
Nine-ten I've done it again
Eleven-twelve put wine on the shelve
Thirteen-fourteen, I find this daunting
Fifteen-sixteen that shelf needs fixing
Seventeen-eighteen bottles still waiting
Nineteen twenty my glass is empty....

Where To Find a Smile
Being happy is found deep within ourselves...
It can't be bought or found on a empty shelve...
Nor can it be copied or stolen from another smile...
It has to be built from the bottom up with a loving style...
When it comes around hold it tight with respect and care...
It can easily be swiped away from a life not fair...

Confusion
I'm in another world another place,
somewhere she hides,sleeping in her bed
covering her face.

somewhere she spends time
with memories at midnight.

her teary voice stays with me
as a lonely book on a library shelve.

isolated eyes in misery has it's followers.
music keeps company with her abyss.

I am no wanderer
to
this
adventure....

Six Degrees of Desperation
''Six degrees of desperation"

Empty pockets,
Empty shelves,
An empty stomach, as the sun sets it's empty dreams.

It's a painful flock of headaches! , chest pains! , tears and dark thoughts.

Temptation lurking from behind, on a pocket, on a shelve.

That is when it breaks you down, to bend the rules, as the clock ticks!
You find yourself desperate.......

The Daily Chore
One, two,
     what to do?
Three, four,
     mop the floor.
Five, six,
     play no tricks
Seven, eight,
     make it great
Nine, ten,
     now and then,
Eleven, twelve,
     help her shelve
Thirteen, fourteen,
     have you seen
Fifteen, sixteen,
     see what I mean
Seventeen, eighteen,
     make it clean
Nineteen, twenty,
    Full or empty.

My Mourning Dove
My mourning dove coo's
and I soar
encircling every wave
every echo held peace
in search of her call

My eyes struggle to vent
steam reaching her peak
and I'm ready to scream
as my thoughts embrace
her wings setting us free

Come to me my soulful mate
delve into the depths off my right
shelve yesterday's emptiness
for well into the sunset we are full...

London Olympics
Luminous is the flame,
Olympic Games need no fame.
Nations standing by to compete
Dauntless athletes refusing defeat,
Obsession with metals is growing,
Nagging coaches are shouting.
Omission is a threat
Luck is everyone’s bet
Yearning is a drive that keeps,
Pushing all for feats.
Iconic is the city of 2012,
Calling for its trophies to shelve
Summer bodes well for every winner of gold.

Sadness
We have a great deal of sadness
Pent-up inside our fragile selves
Bordering at times on madness-
unhealthy in and of itself.
You’d think we’d learn to deal with it.
No! We shelve it for another day
and indubitably admit
its return in myriad ways.
Sorrow assumes many faces
Far too many to cope with each
Leaving behind tiny traces
of memories and self reproach.
Human minds are the rub, the source.
Their forlorn heart’s its driving force....

Chore - Nursery Rhyme
One, two
What to do;
Three, four
Mop the floor;
Five, six
Play no tricks;
Seven, eight
Make it great;
Nine, ten
Now and then;
Eleven, twelve
On the shelve;
Thirteen, fourteen
And in between;
Fifteen, sixteen
Sweep and clean;
Seventeen, eighteen
As always been;
Nineteen, twenty
Clear and empty.

hmmm'ing andt
yawnnn'ing......
but concerns be
as navigated so
it's up and to it
with a mind-set
to be an oar-knot
that questions the
weather.....that be
colder in pastimes
such that.....these
possible rain-days
may end the snow
andt...t'is better to
shelve both shovel
and boots.....to go
to that spring-melt
waterfall......where
the one andt...only
real good fishing
spot where deep
lines mean fresh
fish  for the bbq

stan sands dust...

The Clock
THE CLOCK
by
JOHN M. ARRIBAS

I Quietly Watch the Second Hand Sweep
Never Varies, a Full Minute it Will Keep
Its an Easy Pace as it Starts its Run
Barreling Through the Number One
Speeds up a Bit as You Can See
Cruises Right past Number Three
Really Moving Taking a Headlong Dive
Slides past Four, Rounds the Corner at Five
Begins to Slow as it Nicks Six
Now Starts an Uphill Climb
Slows the Pace Til Reaching Nine
The Endless Task Never to Shelve
Minute Later We Arrive at Twelve...
