Nutcracker
a ballet or a tool?

Nymph
a goddess or an insect?

Pawn
Something you deposit
Or do you move it across a game board?

People say English is easy.
Sheesh!...

The kraken has been set loose,
Or is it a fire-breathing dragon?
Sheesh! This year's August
Shouldn't be this blazing hot!
Hydrate! Retreat to the bower
When the sun shows no mercy.

came the first world war
then disease and depression
followed by more war

science fiction books
reigned stories of future times
of rule by machines

with gort put in charge

nazi fascist thoughts
military robots rule

Would You Marry Me
Would you like to date you said?
I would.
Would you oh could you let me kiss you just this once?
If you must.
And will you take my hand in yours and let me hold it tight?
You may .
Many a days past by and it was in me to try again,
I did.
Would you marry me, would you please
I will.
Would you be my wife and go where ever I go
Maybe!
Would you have my children and bare with me awhile
DO YOU THINK i AM CRAZY?
Sheesh....

Premium Member Give the Kid a Break
Kid at the service station looks to be fifteen. Sixteen tops.
He has walked around our old relic three times
Looking for the gas tank.

My husband is gleefully watching him in the rearview mirror.
That’s the fourth time! He says, laughter in his voice.
Go help him, I say, annoyed.

This is a game we play at every gas station
When we drive the antique car out.
Gas tank is underneath the license plate. Sheesh!...
