With durable softness
I grace sheets and cushions;
I have a most beautiful feel.

With colorful crispness,
I sheathe fashionistas;
I'm cotton silk satin - all real!

Theater For Thoughts
‘Tis they who are fabulists:
The Fakers-to-be who are not
And the Fakers-not-to-be who are.
‘Tis they who employ language
As theaters for thoughts
Composing black apparel
To sheathe the naked corpse
Of the often too black Truth.
‘Tis they with the organized souls
Who are fabulists....

Sheathe the Unkind Heart
[ I thought this poem especially apropos now with all the turmoil and fear racking America lately.]

Sheathe the unkind heart and
cage the mind's wild monkey,
and let the dogs of anger bray
only at the lonely cool moon!

For the other, too, has a soul
that seeks sanctuary, as you
do, in this cold vast Universe.......

True feelings concealed craftily
beneath the saccharine sheathe,
toxic fantasy of self items fostered
by the colors of chameleon skin.

Sprawling spurious emotions,
pretentiously paraded skillfully,
away from the edge of reason,
epitomize the camouflaged ego.

Serene
Three years have passed by
Since the day that we met

I still remember your brown eyes
Serene, I would have called them

Until I saw myself getting reflected
In the deep dark waters that you pulled me in

I could see the chaotic waters swirling
A burning heart and razor-sharp strands of blood

Your weapons, unweilded
Yet you could never sheathe them in...

I want to wrap myself in your arms
Feel the tension drip away
Like a leaking faucet
I want to leave all my angst
On that hardwood floor
Never to be picked up again

That might seem trivial to some
But for me
It is an opportunity to breathe more easily
A chance to laugh from my core
Instead of pretend
That I can do this on my own

Beneath the Radiant
Sinking into me
This silver broadsword
Pull it from my chest

Sheathe it in your gold
Transmuted from my ash
Collected from our final clash

Lying atop a branch
Atop the mighty tree
Born from my death

Reach down, angel
Pull me from the dirt
I can't see the world

Underneath your light
The glare is far too strong
I've stared for too long

The world is born again
You've learned to fly again
I'm buried once again...

Eternal Dream
When I begin to meditate
About the life before now
And the life that is due to prevail
Deep in this thought
I heard calls from no where
 Chanting into my ears
A note of warning
“Don’t let the trees surrounding
 This wide fence fall”
Amid this puzzling call
I unearth from a far
Mix voices flaunting a goal
“We will not sheathe our swords
Until all our desires come to pass”
In between these dilemma I inquire
On whose command will lives live?

Dreams
A dream without an action
Is like a mission without a vision
Or an emotion without a notion
A true commotion set in motion

All will be in deep sorrow
If we slumber today to dream of tomorrow
Hunger, famine and thirst will follow
If with our strength in dreams we choose to wallow

But all who dream should stand and work
Pledge their strength and give their word
For Jack will be dull if he plays with work
And all will be slain if we sheathe our sword....

Taunted
Silk curves buoyant
hiss in their unzipped motion
unfolding desire
chided into spaces
as distance shorten
expose to un-sheathe
the quivers
of enticement;

Seriatim sling shots
embedded within
the tremor
of high pitched
vocals
caress
the wet slips
in agony;

Chastise
moments?
but i yearn
for more
in flexed
sinew
and tightened
muscles;

Impetuous
for I breathe
warmth and fire
into your cold soul
with a smile
provoking you
to a world of
another entity?...
