Sheathe the Unkind Heart

[ I thought this poem especially apropos now with all the turmoil and fear racking America lately.]

Sheathe the unkind heart and
cage the mind's wild monkey,
and let the dogs of anger bray
only at the lonely cool moon!

For the other, too, has a soul
that seeks sanctuary, as you
do, in this cold vast Universe....

Thank you, Jannie-- it's a strange little thing that popped into my head the other day.
