Premium Member My Vermillion Maple Tree
brilliant red maple tree
with her vibrant leaf flames
she gives me pause
her scarlets are as onfire as cinnabar
reminding me of sun fire and blood
I love her...

Autumn flaunts splendiferous colors; rich earthy tones gilded in gold leaf. Scarlets and yellows form Nature's finest works of art; as Autumn weaves a tapestry of orange and crimson leaves; touting Fall's beauty.

Premium Member A Vibrant Review

hold memories of the day
scarlets for the rose

I go to the edge of the world And I find Yellows and oranges Reds, scarlets, mauves, and burgundies All congested together Into a blasting color display Turning the blue gradually Into black nothingness And bringing the darkening sky Black behind the tail Of the solar ball As the sun sets These colors get darker Until darkness comes At the very end

crimsons
scarlets
vermilions
renegade ambers

a slow burn resumes

accompanied by a susurrus of sighs
a dirge for a season

and the summer sky, now turned slate,
is cremated...

Autumn makes her appearance,
singing a harmonious hymn of hues
with scarlets, ambers, golds and russets,
the trees resplendent in their festive finery.

In the still pleasant air
the foliage falls as feathers, slow dancing;
an emerging carpet, chattering in the breeze,
sending sweet sounds of a susurrus symphony.

The music of autumn leaves
is a serenade for the senses...
a paean to Gaia: soft, soothing, serene....
