Sunday Funday
Whenever you are feeling bored
Just grab a knife and carve a gourd
A creepy face
Lights up the place
So say your prayers and praise the Lord...

Here Is What Al Sharpton Said

God had been there counting souls;
Achieved one of His greatest goals;
Let love abound,
All around;
Say your prayers then go to polls.

Short Poem.
Twenty degrees below zero that's how I feel.
Shut out from the world but I can still see the marijuana thieves.
Say my prayers every night but I still hear gunshots from twenty-seven different streets....

Election tension
Apprehension?
Home's a safe space
  Just in case

Fear a riot?
I don't buy it
Folks just want
  Peace and quiet

The Village Square's
Too noisy out there
The wise forbear
  Say silent prayers...

Peasants Et Roaches
Pitter patter on with perfect ambiguity
Knowing only the knolls of the knave
Brave, brave sir, mam, beware
Aristotle to Aristocracy, I dare
Peasants pair and say thou prayers
The dusk-walker approaches
You are now, the forgotten little roaches...

Take the Time
TAKE THE TIME TO MOTIVATE YOUR MIND

YOU CAN DO ANYTHING THAT YOU WANT TO

TAKE THE TIME AND DONOT WHINE
LEAVE ALL OF YOUR TROUBLES BEHIND

Here comes Santy Claus,
Here comes Santy Claus,
Bringing you Santy Claus pain.
Vicious old bastard
with sharp-hoofed reindeer
pullin' on the reins.

Bells are ringing,
children screaming,
all is scary with blight.
Say your prayers
or hang by your hair
cuz Santy Claus comes tonight....

Prayer's
Prayers
The Sandman calls to say
go upstairs. Time for you
to say your prayers in the
magic land from beyond.

To the man who cares
the most about us.All
across the coast they're
saying their prayers in layers.

Where might this be well to
heaven above,To the stars
beyond to our Heavenly Father....

Turn It Up
Turn it up
Drown it out
Say your prayers
Live in doubt

Find what's yours
Don't let it stray
Find what's missing
Chase away the grey

See the light
Catch the day
Take that flight
Find a way
Fight your fight

Face your fears
Find your way
Fight your tears
Turn the other cheek

Find true love
Seek the unknown
Stand above
Turn it up...

Waiting
Sitting here waiting until they admit you, your surgery is today I feel sad and blue. I will say my prayers for you to get better, I'll be thinking of you through the cold weather. Sitting here waiting thinking about you, wondering if you're lonely or feeling sad and blue. Copyright Cynthia Jones Jan.26/2005

The morning nears,
A garland of frost appears.
We roll out of bed in cinnamon pajamas
And say extra prayers to avoid Krampus.
The warm gold of joy and love in the symbol of gifts.
Wild hearts with arms and fingers sift and sift.
Food and toys and songs and stories.
Let's hold these memories and share our glories!
Before it all restarts:
With all those empty
Shopping carts....

And She Comes
She switches the TV off,
Gets up and makes,
Her last visit to her kitchen,
Washes the remaining crockeries ,
Leaves them in their places ,
She sets the cell phone in the charger,
Checks the front door secure,
Puts off the lights,
Reaches her bed,
Spreads her bed sheet neatly,
With the comforter,
In the right position,
She kneels to say her prayers,
And lies down to sleep....

Waiting On the Lord With Them
I've honored funeral mongers
for the chance to say their prayers.
And knelt in all their churches
for the lord to see who cares.

And taken what I've learned from them
to make a life more kind.
While learning what I can from them
to make a fate they'll find.

That doing what I can for them
would only takes my time.
That waiting for the lord with them
would surely be a crime....

Playground--A Nursery Rhyme
Playground--A Nursery Rhyme

I love going to the playground
With Hank, my loyal bloodhound!
We play on the merry-go-round
Each day until the sun goes down
When Mama yells, “Come home.” We frown,
And turn toward her voice, homeward bound.
We eat, say our prayers and lie down
Then wake in the morning and bound
Back to our favorite playground
And its magical merry-go-round.

We Are Blessed
Night before last we woke up feeling glad,
Last night we kept talking about our past,
Tonight we say our prayers before bed,
And wake up in the morning being blessed.
Oh yes, we are truly Bless, I know,
Because Jesus bled and die to save our souls.
Long ago, two days, yesterday and today,
We Are Blessed come what may we all know,
Because He Loves Us So and the Bible Tells Us so,
Oh yes, We Are Blessed....

Night
Spreading through the air
         The silver tress of hair
Over the heads of trees
The grass is soft and light
         The stars smiling bright
With the nightlight's breeze
Along the clay-covered path
         The smell of maiden earth
Where the squirrels cry
So dark, so quiet!
And the star peep and hide
As they sparkles above
And sings with the wide
And I walk and say the prayers high...

Economics
Revisiting my lust, in
beyond borders;
I want to write your
name in cursive script.

Forked, when I pick up
the undiluted hemlock
from your eyes. How would
you like to become a game changer ?

A shirtless moon walks
with me on empty stomach
to scrap the night from
the exuberant trees.

Conversion factor comes
into force, unusing the nector.
I will still say my prayers
to seek nothing.

Premium Member Grateful For Strength
The snow grips tree branches
And is frozen on the ground
There’s thick ice on the roof
For now, there’s not a sound

It is early winter morning
The sun will visit for a while
Pale yellow skies above mountains shine
Peeking through gray clouds with a smile

I say my prayers quite often lately
With so much going on every day
I’m grateful for the inner strength
Given to me along the way

Facade
We wrap ourselves in golden linen
and smoke our peace pipes,
we show the world false eyelashes
yet promise the truth be told,
we fake our way through daily living
then say our prayers at night,
we steal from the filthy rich
yet rarely give to the truly poor,
we sing and dance in the streets by day
then cry alone at night in our pillows,
we put on thick makeup for each other
and use cracked mirrors to hide the truth....

Soon be time for Halloween,
So wear your mask to make them scream.

Pumpkin pie and pumpkin juice,
Trick and treaters on the loose.

Carve your pumpkin big and bright,
To scare away the ghosts tonight.

Be prepared on all saints Eve,
Lock your doors before you leave.

If you scare the ghosts away,
You can celebrate samhain day.

But if you fail your task ahead,
Say your prayers before you go to bed.

Faith In a Jar
In times of need in times of war
I say my prayers but wish for more
Just a glimpse of a face
or point in the right place
Faith is weak when doubt is in the core

I struggle now this very day
not knowing what to do or what to say
i bend my knees
and hope He sees
that I'm only trying to find my way

Forget me not if He will
I will try to climb this hill
further up and far to go
where it ends I can not know
yet I try ever harder still...

Sleep With Angels
As you lay your head to sleep
May you have Angels at your feet
To watch over you all night long
Singing softly Angelic songs

May they hold you in Heavenly light
When all is dark, take away all fright
From all monsters and things unseen
May you feel the brush of Angels wings

So say your prayers and go to bed
And know there is nothing here to dread
For God has sent from up above
Special Angels so full of love

Sleep with Angels, love...

Say your prayers every day
   Save 10% of your pay
Your absolute hardest, try
   Never ever tell a lie...

Don't talk with your mouth full
   After school do your chores
Wash your hands when you come in
When you go out, lock the door...
