Soundbite

serpent
          slithers secretly
                                surveys surroundings
          sibilates spittle

snake skin shines
                         she snipes
savours seeds

Reticence

perched on the branches
of a high verdant tree
an introvert savours silence ~
his inquisitive mind flies
on the wings of fantasy

CONSCIOUSNESS

The imaginary
     musings of my mind
experience
   past & present
 lingers long
dusted off
   viewed
 from time to time

     perspective
 changes all
then savours
    the mellowness
of memory
  then
once again
Today
   will be yesterday

Zen mode

who are we to say
the way bliss mists sway
within feeble form
raking up a storm

each body vector
savours bliss nectar
God’s magnetic heat
that makes us complete

save coming undone
nothing need be done
God and we are one
love drenched golden sun

Llueve Or It Rains

I don't hope for this
sweltering heat to quell
the night to dwell
on the fill of clouds
that it savours
for it's excesses seem to
be the way for it;
no melting, or dissolving of the fire
abundance of me and
enough of everything___
but I hope it rains tonight.

Touch

Feel savours touch
Touch tells so much

Thought waves now link
Link sensuous think

Fine words work lines
Lines speak most fine

Touch knows fond feel
Feel words that heal

Be what you see
See what may be

The Pleasantry

Your love like a pallet of colors
Fills beauty in spaces left empty
My stream of life, at all its levels
Humbles back it's start, the pleasantry

Your love like wind to sailors
Flutters along the impending victory
My bowl of life, with all its flavours
Savours each moment, the pleasantry !!!

Prose Poem Memories

The imaginary musings of my mind, experience past & present lingers long, dusted off, re-opened,viewed from time to time, retrospective perspective changes all; maturity's long-sightedness squints aghast, then savours the mellowness of memory; a tear,a smile washes nostalgia's face.Today will be yesterday, gathering dust.

Zen Mode

as we dissolve in the now continuum
a sublime ethereal divine fragrance
engulfs our consciousness like a mist

the source is not out there but in here
in gratitude stuporous presence savours
the subtle bliss inducing beauteous elixir

there’s nothing to be done saving being
befriending stillness and thus becoming

Solitude She Seeks

Seriously searching seldom she sees
Solitude she savours so succinctly
Spaces she searches satisfying soul
Sufficiently sating silencing storm
Slowly surfacing so specially still
Sighting ships serenely sailing seas
Sonorous sounds silenced successfully

Sweet Savours

Strayed far from the nest
I’m fed up living with dust
for years fleeting shade

bereft
of melody
of spirit I sink to
the hades of utter loss
I can’t

reckon hidden mysteries
I have lost the sea
for a mere cupful

void of patience and
peace now as I touch the breasts
of the field I crave

for a pure breath
native to
my being I search
sweet savours

of love

Criterion

Rhyme and reason take,
Hurts and pains succinct;
Yeast yields puffy stake,
Mine hearty instinct,
Entice words that speak.
Choice savours fresh form,
Reach that distant peak,
Intent follows prompt;
Touch that unseen prime,
Exploit the sure wave;
Rise to brilliant times,
Instruct words that save;
Observe the clear strains,
Note what voices plain.

Streams of Consciousness

The imaginary musings of my mind,
experience past & present lingers long,
dusted off,re-opened,viewed from time to time,
retrospective perspective changes all;
Maturity's long-sightedness squints aghast,
then savours the mellowness of memory;
A tear,a smile washes nostalgia's face;
Today will be yesterday,gathering dust,
then filed,microfiched,all too soon forgotten
'til an event unlocks the museum again.

Zen mode

petal by petal
heart lotus opens
orientation celebratory
there is no one here to discern
meanings our mind tends to assign
for all that is, is but a splash in the ocean
wherein presence savours soma nectar potion
in time dissolved stillness, poised in the void
becoming the flame of awareness itself
transmuting all energy centres within
in a slow motion dance beauteous
so thus we learn as we burn
within body-mind urn

The Vaporised Self

Upon cessation of doing, rejoice, witnessing movement, centred in the void, aligning thereby with our soul’s soft voice, in time dissolved stillness, thus by love buoyed, ego cravings, by pulse divine destroyed, whereupon essence of presence alive, savours bliss elixir, in the heart’s hive, being to become, God’s light here aglow, as nodes within form, to the cadence jive, transcendence enabled, for pure hearts mellow. 04-December-2021

The Gospel Writers

Matthew penned the first gospel
from where we read of God’s son
from being a collector of taxes
this disciple to Jesus did run

The shortest gospel of them all
was written by the disciple Mark
who showed the way to God
was seeing the light from the dark

The good physician Dr Luke
did write the gospel story
about Jesus and His love
pointing the way to be holy

The one who Jesus loved
John, which was his name
who stood with Jesus mother
at the savours cross of shame

An Evening With Acquaintances

the dust has finally settled
hearts now sigh in relief
the guests have left at last
nobody’s turned a new leaf

the conversation was lively
mischief pervaded the air
without meaningful content
executed with aplomb and flair

life role by us thus enacted
dynamic stillness in motion
within the mundane atmosphere
yet savours soma nectar potion

our heart’s secret goes unnoticed
even by near and dear ones
as we remain vibrant throughout
innumerable suchlike reruns

-adolescence-

Daily Poetry #79, April 18, 2017
Word: Adolescence

If
I am
no longer
here, I want you
to smile for me.
Go and experience
life and everything else that
you could possibly imagine.
Drink merrily, love faithfully, and
most importantly, please live happily.
Take what I’ve taught you with a grain of salt,
Make a dish that savours your life.
With that murmur of time,
that first sound, that I still
remember, continue
walking through life.
Know that I’ll
be with
you.
