The Past Revisited

Facing hard truths
about my failed beginnings
dead-end relationships
deep thoughts
so dark that
I wish they would stay buried
Categories: revisited, anger,
Form: Free verse

Blackbirds and Bluebirds

Inconsiderate
Hearts will lack in elation
Throwing the first stone

Pain revisited
The quiet desperation
Soothes my aching bones
Categories: revisited, forgiveness
Form: Haiku

Wasilla Revisited

Revisit the streets of Wasilla
you'll notice the usual flotilla
of Palins-to-go
who'll put on their show
produced by the Lady Attila.

Trick Or Treat Revisited

Trick or treat, sugar's sweet...
don't forget to brush your teeth!

If you don't, you'll soon care...
when the dentist pokes in there!

Written in Response to Pensive Solitude on The Eve of This Night Revisited

An outcast this night,
I mournfully sigh with gloom:
but, I make war, fight!
to defeat my rising doom,
and defend my haunted tomb.

Slam Got the Title Wrong Did I Slam

How delusional was i

Got the order and the title wrong

Didn't i

Wanted Paradise revisited

But what i got instead

Was Paradise lost

Style Revisited

I prefer inexplicable to unexplainable
alienated to lonely
groove to style
grin to smile
gargantuan to simply super...

But then, I cuss like a sailor, so deal.

Gray Beard

Gray Beard

Gray beard, wrinkled hands.
Your work is not the etcher.
Time too soon past is.

Hades Revisited

Having less
suffering more
Doors were slamming
wolf at the door

Arriving first
finishing last
Spiraling downward
— perdition recast

Truth Revisited

The truth
It seems
Only resides
In the mind
Of the one
Who believes
So
Nothing really matters
Beyond
What one
Believes
And
It varies
Considerably

Believe it
Or not.

GEORGY PORGY REVISITED

Georgy Porgy, far from shy,
Kissed the girls, I don’t know why.
Such a thing, for me and you,
Seems a funny thing to do.
And Nurseryland was in a whirl,
For Georgy Porgy was a girl

Titles

For those left behind
feeling the pace,
urban sprawl
remnants of the human race.
Revisited, looking in
cosmetic world
the haze removed
the urban battlefield.

Intangible Longing

Intangible longing
Of a fullish heart
For things past
That have been lost
To the sands of time
Never to be reborn
Never to be revisited
Gone
Dead
Past away
Never to be resurrected

A Great Group

A Great Group

According to the latest poop,
Poetry Revisited is a great group;
Once a month are getting together,
And hopefully will be great weather;
Poems can be read at Poetry Soup.

Eden Revisited

counting the garden
stop, there is but one and done
including the Earth

Death Revisited

I dreamed again of your demise,
Saw you laying there before my eyes;
I relived my grief and asked God,
Is there to be no relief from the memory
Of your pain...
Must it haunt me over and over again.

The Eagle -Revisited-

He grasps for power with crooked hands,
Ringed by angry foreign lands
Telling the lies, there he stands

The shameless memories make skin crawl
He watches from his tower tall
And like a thunderbolt will fall.

Streets of Bonoa Revisited

I just waved
At the fleeting
Unenglish speaking
Dominican people

Unknowingly they
Went about their day
And in kind
I went about mine

But, still
I waved hello
And smiled within
As I wished them even more goodbyes

A Memory Revisited

i remember my grand-mother
when she sang in the choir
at her baby sister's funeral

it wasn't till decades later
that i began to fathom
the depths of her grief

Carefree World

There once was a boy
Full of boundless joy
~ didn't have a care in the world

After soldiers deployed
The boy's home was destroyed
~ carefree world in the cross-hairs was hurled
