A QUICKIE

At last resorting to trickery
faking orgasms so stickily
that the bed sheets adhered
to her bush, and his beard
pleased it was over so quickily.

Premium Member Anarchy
Almost everything is gone
necessities are becoming memories;
areas of the rich
resorting to one pedicure a month,
could it get any worse?
houses sold for next to nothing,
young people lost in the crisis...

When I was a young-un, looked forward with dread Going for a walk would have to leave my legs in the shed Walking would be difficult Resorting to tall stilts Still be wobbly and filled with foreboding widespread

Excuses
always not knowing the answers,
resorting to a logical reasoning complex.
borrowed excuses,
with no easy solutions.
lies with hidden meanings,
trying to attempt an unwanted detour.
always looking for an easy way out,
tempted to reach out.
drowning with reasons;
not always looking forward to the lessons,
fear of the ongoing slaughter of rejections....

Sheer Persistence
When things are somehow going wrong
And get you in a funk,
It helps to try to lift those spirits
That have sadly sunk.

Resorting to plan B or C
May boost your sagging state
And going for a walk or ride
May more than compensate.

But trying different avenues
To fix a major plight
May prove that sheer persistence
Can make everything all right....

EXPLANATION
She wanted to know
Why I loved her so.
But I lose the flow
When I try to say
Why I feel that way.
I start to explain,
Then start once again.
Start functioning brain!

I’ll try one more time.
Quite desperate I’m
Resorting to rhyme.
I love your blue eyes,
As blue as the skies.
I love that you’re wise.
I would write some more
But she’s slammed the door

When I'M Alone
My anger is blazing
my face turns to stone
I just want everyone to leave me alone

I don't want to go out
without my other half
I'm resorting back to isolation

I only feel right when were together
It's the only time I'm truly happy
You're the only one I share my thoughts

I wish you could see my distress
when you're not there
but you only see when you light up my world...

Basic Rules To Live By
When communication fails, resort to loneliness.
When loneliness fails, resort to communication.
When resorting fails, communicate with your
lonely self and meet your only friend.

When you give up someone else's dream, you begin to live.
When you free yourself from your own dreams, you realize that you've
never lived at all.
Then, when you dream, you'd rather be living....

Addiction
Abstaining from anything to satisfy,
Defenseful even resorting to a lie,
Denial - you stray further and further from staying true.
Intense pleasing reaction,
Cause of senseless selfish satisfaction,
Time is wasting because of you.
Irrational placement with other priorities,
Obsession, depression, now the authorities, and still…
Never plan to go without.

This. Is. Addiction....

Rondel-Devious In My Feeble Step
Devious in my feeble step...
seeking some pure, fresh air
and lay under a shady, tall fir
with strong desire on my lip.

My forehead continues to drip,
not finding any soothing lair;
devious in my feeble step...
seeking some fresh, pure air.

God! halt the desperado's grip...
if he acts in fierce dispair,
resorting to the wildest temper
with his voice lashing like a whip!
Devious in my feeble step...
seeking some pure, fresh air....

Desperation
Who do you tuen to,
When theres no one left,
No one who can help you,
Get rid of your emotional heft.

How do you know when you've had enough,
When things get a little to bad,
And a little to tough.

Then do you give in,
Then do you give up,
Then to you cry out for someone to listen.

Then do you act out,
Resorting to drastic things,
Yet you don't know what your doings mean.

It's only a desperate plea,
A plea for help,
When no one else can see....

Premium Member A Woke American
There is so much they don’t know
They will ask but they don’t like the answers
It is not that they ever question them
They are always different from their beliefs
They will never admit that their ideas are wrong
But they will not admit any others are right
They get offended if anyone calls them on it
Sometimes resorting to crying or hiding away
They are modern, woke Americans
Safe knowing that their ignorance is protected

Semantics
My scan was not “preventative;”
Instead it was “routine.”
Insurance will not pay it
If it’s somewhere in between.

But can someone please explain
How any X-ray, scan or test
Can be thought of as “routine?”
I think that this should be addressed.

Every dental check-up, mammogram
Or colonoscopy
Has a purpose – to prevent a problem
That might come to be.

So denying reimbursement
Seems a pure display of antics,
Swindling unsuspecting patients
By resorting to semantics....
