The Greatest Sufferer
Food is the greatest sufferer
fingers pinch it but no cry
teeth bite it but no cry
throat swallows but no cry
enzymes destroy it but no cry
it lives in torture chambers
would- be rescuers, say no cry
this food that walks or is walked!...

Premium Member Animals On a Mission
animals were on a mission, sent to help the world.
Dogs thought it up, invited cats. Birds heard and horned in.
We looked like Noah’s ark on a bike, rushing to save someone.
Trouble is, no one remembered who we were to save.
Enthusiastic rescuers without listening ears...

Pitfall
I did not know what I did not know
Though I thought I knew it all
So I went where the wise don’t go
And pride came before my fall

Headlong down into a pit
Bleeding, bruised, heartbroken
Now in a darkened stupor sit
My future fears unspoken

Far too feeble to escape
Despair has left me numb
I find myself in need of grace
Waiting for rescuers to come...

The Rescuers
They come from above
Heaven sent
Their smile brightens the midnight sky
Sent to me by my Lord
Their laughter echos in my soul
Even when they are gone
Angels on my shoulder
Love so strong
Life so beautiful with them here with me
They are my energy I am alive
Look upon them and know they are mine
I watch over them they are my treasure
Some day they will read and understand
What they mean to me
Little man,Wild hair,Wild wolf,Jazzie...

Premium Member The Unicorn Rescuerer
Unicorn rescuer floated by and fell off wings of a dove
I was amazed at her prowess, she came from high above
Why do the unicorns gravitate to you? Some asked the girl.
I have no idea she said, but her lip was not in a churl.

One of those open young women with love in her heart.
She gives everyone a piece of herself, an empathetic part.
How many unicorn rescuers are there in fantasy land?
Just one, but she is the best, you will soon understand....

The Storm
The storm wind whipped
The drive to the store was skipped
The windows boarded
A sigh of relief when the storm is thwarted

Citizens evacuate
Debris includes a gate
The wind blows
Fear shows

When will it hit
In a town it will sit
Homes destroyed
Rescuers deployed
Tears of sorrow ultimately prevail
Boats turned over, no longer will sail

Lives turned upside down
No smiles, only frowns

The government will step in
Rebuilding will begin...

Premium Member Your Light Shines Bright
To the teams of rescuers on the front line in Haiti
The Pilots, the Soldiers, and Truck Drivers
The Doctors, Nurses, and the Aides
The Clergymen, Volunteers
To the average Haitian giving of themselves
To meet the needs of their fellowmen

Your light shines bright in this dark hour
As a beacon to all the world
Rewards more precious than priceless gems
To you and yours are assured
In a place where time can neither erase nor robbers pilfer
God blessings to you all...

reality views...
is digital here to stay...
the discrete segment...

with the analog...
the action...in a back seat...
to be forgotten...

there's start and finish...
a seen perception of time...
measured periods...

hours...minutes...seconds...
mille and micro moments...
but...time can't stand still...

accident events...
where rescuers die helping...
may last days...hours...weeks...

so...which is correct...
digital or analog...
you perceive your truth

stan sand...
