The Greatest Sufferer
Food is the greatest sufferer
fingers pinch it but no cry
teeth bite it but no cry
throat swallows but no cry
enzymes destroy it but no cry
it lives in torture chambers
would- be rescuers, say no cry
this food that walks or is walked!
