Heart
On that day my soul grew ventricular
Heart
And the feelings never pulsing
Just a blood start
The aloneness seemed happy repulsing
A defective Heart
Pumping clear blood turns to red
Hearts
Not longing beating I’m dead

Free verse
I look out my window
at the perfect sunset
but see nothing
as my heart is breaking.
Everything that was once beautiful
is now dreadfully repulsing
as all the light in my world is gone,
ripped from me in a horrid way.
I look out my window
at the kids playing
and envy them.
I'm only a kid,
why can't I be happy and carefree
like them?

Free to be an owl-
Nightmarish clues at dawn-
The sunrise 'death distorting
A kind and lonely soul.
Free to kill for hunger
In moonlight's smiling poison.
The lasting dream re-occurring
A hummingbird in prison.
Free to be mysterious-
Lethal games with mice.
Repulsing limbs accusing
The need to throw the dice.
The blinds are shut forever,
Maternal instincts cry.
Free to kill the echo...
The bird will ever fly?

clearly one hears clearly
in the silence of the mind
solitude does not preclude
relationships entwined
beauty's often mistaken
by those without the key
perception’s combination
ultimately sets it free
defending fortifications
a knight quietly serves
repulsing suspect incursions
protecting treasured reserves
draw not your sword with anger
or revel in other's defeat
rather seek to conquer
standing on your feet
to a knight in silent armor
humility comes with honor
