Moon beams
Taken in arrest
House walls
Screaming create
Spaces
Just right
Throwing mocked
Candle light
(Spare Moment)
As I lay in the dark on a blow up mattress
Listening to rain pound on the tin roof
In house thats in renovation mode
I am at peace hearing natures simple truth
frenzied mud dauber
porch railings are no longer
we are the killers
he bores hole in post
angry about the railings
what will they call home
will he sound alarm
will army wasps come to fight
dejected he leaves
Why do family-tree roots
not begin deep IN the ground
And if Evolution is Truth
aren't we from monkeys UPWARD bound
No scientist am I
nor did I witness Creation
Yet perhaps our recording of it
needs renovation
We’re all hurled
Into the midst,
A perfect world
Does not exist.
Taught to hate,
Doomed to die.
Our death rate
Has soared sky-high.
We can escape,
Begin the climb.
Build to reshape
Free from crime.
Help to offset
Push and shove.
Do not forget
How to love.
The resounding renovation of the mind can be astounding.
With each breath I take I am but a soul yearning for redemption-
I now seek rejuvenation in the senses that healing brings.

Surrounded by peeling wallpaper
it’s a picture of provocation;
These holes tended to terrify her.
Spots that need so much renovation
must be rebuilt right down to the core;
There’s happiness in new construction.
You’ve got an idea what’s in store,
once the soul is restored to this house;
An antique knob attached to the door.
Enough beauty to instantly rouse
a blend called American Bauhaus.
The Do it yourself craze is all the rage on television
Where you can do amazing things in the world's vision
Now you can renovation, participate or emulate
As other people have over other programs of late
And if cooking is your very special thing
You can be the best cooker in the extreme
But I think performing is the most popular show
When singing, dancing or performing is the go.

The book that life is
The love, the trials
The tribulations
Are all written in the book
Experience is our best teacher
Read it well
So you can foretell
The story to our kids
The future generation
Life of renovation
Accept compassion, kindness, love
As YAH's blessed nations
YAH's Omnipresence
The essence of our True...existence

In a way, each of us is a house, a temporary abode for spirit, subject to age – needing maintenance and sometimes an entire renovation. I examine the walls of me...the entrance and exit of both chill and warmth through the inevitable cracking. The chipping and peeling – the drying-out between eternities. My next domicile, I want all on one airy level – having found, fullness and height are less directions, and more the surrendering of enclosure.
They came, put up the barriers
The village will be urbanized
The glass and cement area
They’ll set before our eyes
A block of shoe-box houses
More cruel teens around
One day your shirts and trousers
You'll find down on the ground
Must order electronic lock
Put on the fence a wire net
And get yourself a watchdog
In case you haven’t got it yet
Here comes the urban good
The village fears come true
Pay more for meds and food
Get less, and claim “I knew!”
For years we’ve gone to see the shows
Of Shakespeare in the Park,
Where magic happens in Manhattan
When the sky turns dark.
The theater where the plays are held
Is called the Delacorte,
Reopening this summer,
I am happy to report.
A renovation closed it down
But now it’s back for good
And boasts a new façade that’s made
From water tower wood.
“Twelfth Night” will start the season
With a most impressive cast,
An experience for those who go
That will be unsurpassed.
Come do promise with my faith
Meet for us near blue lake
Now I am telling you by true heart
Through your love I got effective change
Now I am viewing a new world
By a new view by new vision
Shape of moon now look like
As you look in the midnight
Both of you look me similar
Both of you spread milky light
Now my life need renovation
Your advice your assertion
By your appear I feel so light
And got removal by heavy lode
Every way is clear now
Need indication for love both side
Drills are buzzing, hammers banging;
Men on ladders, tool kits hanging.
Renovation’s going on and
Waiting is the key.
Dumpster’s filling, scraps are flying;
Things look messy, no denying.
Renovation’s taking place
For an eternity.
Lights are dangling, tarps are blowing;
Lists to finish just keep growing.
Renovation’s in the works and
Not the place to be.
Quite a job the crew is facing;
So much that requires replacing.
Renovation’s at my son’s house -
Glad it’s not for me!
All I have
of lasting value
is my heart to give
the antiques
in the attic
just gather dust
plastics become brittle
and metal to rust
cloth disintegrates
and if sentiments on cards alone
what true value is a poem?
as museums
need constant
renovation --
an indentured
in and out curator --
while the heart stays with me
everywhere I go --
awake or asleep
unlike tides that ebb and flow
my love for God is constant
enough for me that He eternally
know....
