Today
Today was all you
wanted

The past now fraught
with pain

The hurt was set,
you could not forget

What our love
could not rename

Premium Member Murder of Crows
Murder of crows
Murder of crows
Ornithologists hate it
Wanting to rename it

Murder of crows
Murder of crows
The black scavengers earned it
Not caring in the least

Murder of crows
Murder of crows
I would like to retain it
It fits in their pleats...

Premium Member "doggone Dog Contest"
As fate would have it Big Joe was his name,
That was his only claim to fame
He was quite a wee dog
Birth not meant as a watchdog
Efforts were futile to have him rename...

a stubborn demeanor even
though he was so small"...

Mixed Apart
As the clouds devour the sky
And the grass outgrew the earth
The sea undulates to tease the moon
The dead point and laugh at the living
The spinning ball that grips us all downI
I deny you reality
And rename you

I am about to change your bob reality...

Premium Member A Peek Out the Foxhole
“I am going to peek out the foxhole!” The squirrel told his troop.
“Don’t call it that!” screeched Finicky Farlane, spilling his soup.
Seriously, it is called that for real, Finicky, said Sergeant McBeal.
They should rename it then, Farlane said, spilling the rest of his meal....

This Life I Live
I don’t know if I’m good or bad,
but I’m not for loan

I don’t know if my words will rise,
but these thoughts I own

I don’t know if the questions asked,
will in death rename

I don’t know if this life I live
—will the past reclaim

(Villanova Pennsylvania: December, 2016)...

Betrayed
I'm not speaking
she's not ever
we both assume
betrayed

I'm not given in
she wont budge
we both rename immature

Someone will talk
no one will listen
if pride didn't hold us
our so call friends would

Its a small annoyance
and we would let it be
if only we assume
we could...

Lunar Surprise
You can’t embrace
the moment forever
whose verity
at essence ungrained

By definition
it must rename itself
once mentioned
decried and disclaimed

What came upon you
to die in place
where vacuums exit
in time and space

Regenerating
from life’s cocoon
and starting over
—Amayasvan moon

All these Doctors giving an oath
To serve all Men
To save all Men and Women

Correct,
Peculiar,
Strange,
Mysterious,
Breach or break,
If not
Unbecoming?

Stars In Time
If I could go back in time;
I would rename the stars that shine.

Hercules and Perseus would be replaced;
Elijah and Moses would take their place.

The Ten Commandments would shine brightly in the sky;
Reminding us that the zodiac signs were but a lie.

God's promises would be seen above,
As a wonderful sign of his love.

When the time has passed and gone by;
Just remember God never lied....

A Mermaid's Tale
Trump's newly-appointed EPA Chief
Found himself buried in EPA grief

To prove he was no party-pooper
He likened Trump to a Giant Grouper

Swimming against an almighty current
Where even the sharks were no deterrent

"Forget the 'U' and immigrant no-hoper!
I'll rename that fish, "The Slippery Groper"!

Well, Congress agreed to just let it pass
That's God's honest truth, you bet your wrasse!...

Moveable Feast
Be it good or then bad…
defined after the fact

Acceptance—rejection,
a dog or a cat

The goals of Centurions,
or those of a Priest

Different agendas,
a moveable feast

Be it virtue or vice,
their adherents will claim

Then shout from the rafters,
 to freely rename

But in for a penny,
or out for a pound

A lasting consensus
—will never be found

(St. David’s Pennsylvania: October, 2020)...

Many nights you’ve graced my sight
fair Orion, hunter and groom to the abyss,
and yet it would seem an eternity
before we would meet and kiss.

Bought you’d be, and brought to me
by the grace of He who waits.
So, when I die my heart can rise
upon your valor’s brace.

He’d rename Hatsya’s famed
so my soul could light the way.
Dearbhla true poetess of love
‘pon Orion’s sword held sway.

And up I’d rise at my demise
to crest the sky and space....

Premium Member Rename It the Heartbreak Hotel
the owners decided to rename the honeymoon suites hotel
after so many marriages got off to a terrible start
two of the brides had died in their sleep the first night
the ghost of this place is howling as I type this, I know.

six grooms have jumped off the balcony to their deaths.
no, I am not inside a room typing this. I am across the street.
whatever is haunting that place is too intensely evil for me.
it should be the Heartbreak Hotel if you ask me....

%%%% Glass Friendship%%%%
Friendship is a glass ship
with hanging golds and treasures.
it sails not in the dark seas
but flies up in the dense air

everynight when the stars shine
below the horizon i lie
and never miss a minute
without scanning sky.

if its an illusion
there got to be a solution
if its a myth
i, ll put an end to it.

people talk about it
but i lookout it
and when i finally find it.
i, ll rename it...................
cuz i fear worldy freindship
and wouldn't wanna loose it....
