remorseless dead eyes;

Cancer

A true psychopath,
Cancer thrives on victims’ fears,
Remorseless, it kills
Old men, women and children
And stabs young men in the back.

Premium Member Rapacious

Rich get richer as they
ride shamelessly over
rights, and equality;
remorseless profiteers,
reaping their lust for gold,
reduce the rabble to
rats in a maze of debt.

Outcast

Remorseless faces piercing
rain-slick windows for the man
given graces beyond what could.
Artist embraces passion and
fear embraces stones and the
town races to ravage his home.

Where Do All the Colours Go

blues and greens, gently trickle out of the day
night's henchmen, shadows gather on corners
demise looms in leaking squalor, exsanguinate
remorseless swelling of silhouettes, cardboard
cutout scenery until freedom dawns... revival

Premium Member The Kill

It's to be expected
this time of year, mid Winter,
a merciless wind straight
off the bay blowing
leaves left over from Autumn,
lifting them like dead prey
flicked up by the claws
of a cat reliving the kill
in its remorseless play.

"When terror strikes you like a storm
and your calamity comes like a whirlwind,
when distress and anguish come upon you." Proverbs 1:27 English Standard Version (ESV)

Upsetting the applecart

Hurl the applecart
of crimson corruption
deep into a vortex
that whirs remorseless
and grinds to carbon
the bellowing chaos
spewed by mortals
voracious for victims.
Dread not the tremors
and tumult of wraiths
clamoring with poison fangs
to devour the light.

Winter

Winter, devastation after the fall,
Imposition of Arctic Law
Naked landscapes, souls bared,
Trembling in terrored torture
Enshackled in ice crystal chains.
Remorseless warmth awaiting rescue.

Sadness

A soft spell of unfounded lightness,
confounds
deep engraves of pride and posture
A sweet pace of evenness branded,
pervades
tales of dew, and wine-filled sadness

Remorseless fumes and dues to end this,
decide
a tasteless tune of truth rewound
Cautious terms of proven bonds,
rest on knots
and yet you won't

Extermination

I stand indifferent to rat-nosed Time who gnaws,
I stride oblivious to Time’s laws,
His ravenous, remorseless years’ assault.
The rat’s teeth sink. Then halt.

My leg withstands, impervious to fangs of Time.
Acknowledging that rodent is a crime.
The vermin soon is mashed beneath my heel
To grease. There—hearken to his squeal.

Change

Remorseless time will take all of you changing all that was. For better or worse, that change will always be alien to your originality. Unto us a child is born daily. The flower has died a thousand times, yet it will bloom in the darkness as light. Time has always been ramosely compassionate, endlessly changing a false coin to resurrected gold.

How cold are the eyes of death

Pale orbs in the dark of night

Hidden there with bated breath

Forever to rob our sight

No bias or emotion

Without concern for our fates

No hatred or devotion

So remorseless he awaits

With no heart or soul inside

Even Kings and Queens have fallen

There's nowhere to run or hide

When the eyes of death comes callin'

Quizzical mind, hemmed in by thought,
grips us in a remorseless bind,
serving no purpose, for we’re blind,
spiralling in a narrow slot
whilst acclaiming we are self-taught.
What should we do to leave behind,
quizzical mind?

We can if we choose and we ought
shift to our heart, loving and kind,
with cravings of ego declined,
whence silence reduces to naught,
quizzical mind.

Inhibitions deflecting attention,
employing soiled filters of narrow mind,
plunge us thus into spasms of contraction,
gripping consciousness in remorseless bind,
until ego urgings, we leave behind.
The breeze that blows, is free and unfettered,
spreading by pollination, bliss nectar,
which yet in deep dungeons, stale and arid,
stagnation being the death precursor.
Let head-heart fused, be with love throb married!

A Birds Hatcing

My Shell cracked open,

Releasing me unto the world,

Completely exposed to life

Fragile and vulnerable as snow,

The Wind scrapes my face,

The humming of birds pierces my ear,

My feet bleed from the remorseless ground,

I make haste to my defense,

Shattered to the ground,

I seize the shells,

Naively I try to repair the damage,

Despair is me for there is no solution,

I am bare and afraid,

And the shell that has cracked cannot be closed

Unfinished Business

In this maddening heat
      of the prizefight
where ferocity reigns and
      might is right,
the shrewder one may yet
      triumph tonight.

For even the best can be
      at his worst
and the last can still
      outlast the first,
but either way it goes,
      egos burn and burst.

Victor and vanquished
     will stay remorseless;
they'll fight again till
     they'll be both lifeless;
for to fight and win is an
     unfinished business !

Seeking patterns
Familiar environs
Sensory apparatus
Thus so languishing
In hypnotic stupor
Yet heart yearns for
Soul's luminescence

Governed by instinct
Fickle egoic attention
Having separated itself
From womb of God's love
Is tragically blown away
In winds of uncertainty
Of duality remorseless

We are where
We choose to be
So we may dream on
Or decide to wake up
Our life, our choice
Yet pulse of love whispers
“Oh child, please be still”
