In Need of a Lift

(It being a zero mile stone,
There I stood just alone.
With no charging in phone,
I relished the ice cone.
Expecting a bigger drone,
To carry me to my zone..!!)

A Loner

Such a soul I was,
Sulking in corners,
On my lonesome,
Part of me relished it-
The other despised,
Social tendencies-
A bit different,
Me?
Why yes,
I’ll forever be a loner.

Recurrence

Rain drops rejoiced ....
It relished its fall from the womb
Cause of its inception
Also rejoiced...
Because he only pulled it up .....
Just to see its recurrence.
Thus he taught us “Life"

He liked mustard so he married;

Premium Member Here She Comes

A well-endowed gal relished baring
her assets. She pranced about wearing
skin-tight skimpy dresses.
Such clothing impresses
the men, who just drool and keep staring.

‘No sex before marriage’ that’s Mum’s motto
Enjoyed Mum’s wedding, being a toto.
                 Relished nice beverage
                 on my mother’s marriage.

Premium Member Yonder

Listen to poem:
I ponder what's out yonder,
when I wander in somber solitude.
I choose the zigzag path
when I go away with ditty bag.
As being there, being out yonder, for longer
is embellished and relished
by taking the wily winding way.

Premium Member Party With Santa

Kids prepared delicious chicken spring rolls,
Santa preferred cookies and hot milk bowls;
They, hence, relished the roll dish,
With homemade potato knish;
Sang carols, in chorus, with hearts and souls...!

Premium Member Hector Loves his Quietude

The prison cell was the best place Hector had ever lived
He relished his solitude
He had never had silence in a foster home or a group home
Hector was at peace
Glad to be here
Grateful for this quietude
Then he got a roommate

Through Her Eyes

Through locked eyes, I became frozen. Eyes of love buried under internalized pain. Pain that crystallized her soul to ice. I relished to ignite it.

Roaming around

Proud of her passionate lover,
Fearless she relished to hover,
Caught one day in a mess,
Crazy not to confess,
How long could stay under cover ?

Rustled Understandings

When a man understands the brilliance of nature, his voice is thirsted for like the babbling brook, and has an inherent influence, that is as relished as the wind rustling the leaves of a tree.

Premium Member The Ferrets

There was a dying breed outside
The forest.
They rose with pallor relished
And true.
Like rhythmic bramble they
Trotted through stream,
Mares and lovers gave way.
Rivered with Rilke,
A new day came to pass.
The ferrets of the un-furrowed brow
Gave brilliance to our every breathe.

After the Touch

7 lines /7syllables
______________

she was touched by a phantom

becoming a phantom too

both boarded coral carriage

wheels grate cobble streets in mist

opera seats were waiting

then to swirl on dancing floor

she relished escaping hours

Between the Minutes

Between the minutes lies the calm,
The quiet and peace,
Time stretched, revered, relished,
Dwell here as long as possible,
Function in time but live in the gaps.

In time the spaces become longer,
As the minutes grow short,
Until only the gaps remain,
As in time our time ends.

(Stoic)

Raven Hair

I have so often thought
Of your raven black hair
Perfectly inhuman
Beyond my perception
Something that I relished
Internally, with hope
Someday I might touch it
I still see its blue sheen
Curls that looked like feathers
And they brushed your shoulders
I dreamed while I watched you

Premium Member A Span New Experience

It was a span-new experience.
Some relished it, rejoicing at the changes.
Others sat with folded arms and angry faces, glaring.
They were determined to not embrace or welcome change.
I ran between the two groups, fitting into both, curiously.
Trying to make a pact or peace, or something.

Premium Member Refurbished Nursery Rhymes: The Family Spratt

Mrs. Spratt was exceedingly fat,
Hubby Jack was as lean as a bone.
They both relished each meal
With a great deal of zeal
And even licked platters clean
When the eating was done.
Though not frugal with rations,
They still took lovely vacations
With the money they saved on dish detergent alone.

Premium Member Flowers

I became some flowers in a magazine -
someone's secret fantasy...

In turn, there was a loco, a station-master,
and someone watering the flowers.

I loved the part where I was watered,
for I had not drunk for days,
and I relished the water going down my stalks
and into earth below.

Premium Member Ancient Song

they say time waits for
no one i particular
ancient songs relay sadness
yet time passes quick
causing those to think of life
many praise their dead loved ones

with age time passes
next life passes by too quick
we do not live life fully
we miss out a lot
that we could of relished on
the ancient song keeps playing
