Solitude inculcates not just silence
Adjusts your mind, serenades your heart
Most definately redefines serenity,sanity
Unknown to my senses it calms and placates
Void of attention, content within
Storms too shall pass
Completely
solitary
Rain clouds every moment beat,
bursting full at my bare feet
as lovesickness redefines.
Years passed like ascending vines.
Its trimmings bind, soar aloft,
then linger and gently waft.
A faint whisper sign of hope
falls beyond the narrow scope.

I did, I said it,
yet not at all knowing what was what.
The C word was in my six year old mouth -
it is still there.
It has transmuted, it is a Phoenix
that ever redefines

Drug Of Choice
The thing about love is that
it makes us feel so good
And when we are young
it is our lover who is perfect
and their electric energy is
our drug of choice
so we seek it at every turn
looking for those whose light
shines bright, hot and golden
and for a time we feel fulfilled
but sometimes if we
are more than lucky
find one whose light
fits like a second skin
tingles with warmth
and redefines
the thing about love...
No laugh without tears
No calm without fears
No justice without crimes
Good times and hard times
No clean without stain
No relief without pain
Confusion breeds rhymes
