Premium Member My Heart Is Full of Love

Love lives deep within my heart
Showers true to family
I share it with friends too
It sometimes comes back broken
But love recovers quickly
So I can love another

My Heart Is

My Heart Is
Stained and the color is pain
My Heart Is
Shattered and to you it never mattered
My Heart Is
Searching and it never discovers
My Heart Is
Aching and it never recovers

Where’s my loyal confidant,
If love recovers again?
This emptiness of heart,
Fulfills to be a single friend;

The jargon on my noggin,
What’s her color, favorite?
Pop in, lightly salted;
I am satisfied with –

Premium Member Thomas Turkey Avoids the Dreaded Axe

Tom Turkey got lost 'midst the teeming flock,

Thus, avoiding the dreaded chopping block!

      Hunkering down spared his life,

         Averting the carving knife!

He now recovers from traumatic shock!

Lessons Learned

The wise learns lessons
from the art, wisdom
and stupidity
of others,

but learns so much more
from the shame and pain
of his very own
blunders,

that is, if from his lapses,
errors and bungling,
he bounces back
and recovers.

Hard Lessons

.

The wise
learns lessons
from the art, wisdom,
and even stupidity of others,

But learns
so much more
from the shame and pain
of his own humiliating blunders,

That is,
if from his errors
and bungling, he survives,
bounces back and recovers!

A Conflict

Deep darkness fears me at night,
Sable thoughts surround me tight,
Run I to the dark corners to escape,
Wrestle against inner self and fight,
The conflicting struggle continues,
Till I exhaust and lose the might,
The next day recovers me again,
And the night brings the same plight.

Drugs and Hugs

DRUGS AND HUGS!!

Drugs in Sport, Teens on drugs,
Does society give them too many hugs?
Bullying and drug deals,
Dealers are a bunch of heels,
Teens lost to 'the scene',
Who recovers damaged teens?
Drugs in sports,
Winning's a rort,
Most drugs wins, I thought,
Drugs in sports, teens on drugs,'
Who gave them too many hugs?

The Fire Ground

The blackened ground stretches out ahead
The fire has long since passed with dread
There are no bush sounds around
Death and destruction has sown the ground

The firefighters with blackened faces
Return now from hell fire places
Awaiting now a rebirth in rain
Whilst the bush recovers from the summer’s pain.

The Great Learning

Stilling avarice with abstinence,
He recovers profound innate wisdom,
Gaining sincerity most genuine,
And a righteous heart of prudence,

As proper mind exudes propriety,
He harmonizes hearth and household,
And steers his state away from woe,
Proving himself fit for purple dignity.

Premium Member Corn Bread

Corn bread warm from the hot oven
Slathered with butter
Tasty snack, lips smack nosily
Blood glucose recovers

Mustard greens upon the eye
An aroma floats by
Lured to the kitchen food to try
Baked sweet potatoes spy

Creamed mashed potatoes in plain sight
Maybe taste just a few
Fresh banana peppers eaten
Now who will the dishes do

Micro Menace

MICRO MENACE ******* People pollute, killing all living life! When will they understand recycling recovers? Hopeful, helping some species survive. Intervention inadvertently stops strife. Success, still wishful thinking, true, plastic pollution is, 'catch twenty two'! Micro menace, plastics one hundred and eighteen years old!

Pieces

It's hard to piece together a broken heart.
The pieces never fit back together right.
The wounds never heal and the cracks never fill.
The soul stay empty and the mind stays blank.
The shattered heart is not easily mended.
And it never completely recovers.
Days, months, or a lifetime..
A crack remains for each broken promise, for every lie.
The scars of a love not to be forgotten.

To Ocean Floors

you’re freezing feet and most admired
drizzling cityscape so tired
of boring through the screen
the saddest such machine
unwired

with eyes as dead as cellar doors
and sunken blue to ocean floors
why won't you sing along
this cemetery song
is yours

what ancient ground in time recovers
brittle hearts of teenage lovers
and tried without a trace
no other pearl to place
above hers

Premium Member Recovery

When one is renewed from a terrible disaster. Usually it's something awful. Recovering sometimes requires, great strength, courage and wisdom. Sometimes share will is all it takes. When one recovers, all else, that they had may be gone. New and better things take their place. Perhaps, your recovey maybe like that, with new and better things to take their place -- God.

Premium Member Conspicuous Stars

As I looked down the line Conspicuous stars faded away The suns gradually disappear And black swallows further Every Glimmer Of Radiance My sword is drawn Struggle against resentment Safeguarding the cosmos And every single one of its inhabitants Apathetically exposed to the left Simple downtime now Prior to the depravity of man recovers and reappears.

My balance is off, I am reeling
Last week fragile cord-walking worked
This week the cord is slippery
And the feet I do not feel slide away

I try, I try hard, I try harder
My body slowly recovers but my mind
My mind. I'm sitting in my bed
And hold my head, it's heavy

Being a cord dancer needs energy
That is not there. I need to sleep
And will plug in my recharchable me
Will take a small break till it says

Work For the Day

Work for your day -
Satisfaction is what you ultimately crave.
Die each day, do you wish to celebrate THE day.
Laugh off every sting that penetrates -
Deep inside it recovers and sprouts the ache.
Laugh at the moment for you are the one who for sees your day.
Little seed of wisdom shall be - all grown - on THE day;
With every ounce of endeavor candidly poured TODAY.
Effort in efforts nothing goes in vain -
Such gain is worth all the pain.

Life

Everyone has their unique life
What direction are you taking
What decisions are you making
In this twenty-twenty time of crisis
Remember how precious life is
No more griping and complaining
Does it really need explaining
Just like that it comes to a halt
Lock it in your memory vault
As the world recovers
What will you discover
Are you the solution
Or the pollution
Life.........................
It comes back
To what YOU do!!!!!

The Sycophant

A man is at his ugly best
when he recovers from night rest
Look at that man
perhaps the resting sun
dwelt on his chest
the rays carried torments of the morrow
of the hectic routine he would follow

Throughout the night
he wore his eyes tight without their lid
Today He's after the man
who lured him to fell
the fruitful neem
that harbored his dream
by his numb thumb
he did succumb
should he get him
he'd lynch him with a deadly rage of hell

While Gertrude Recovers

While Gertrude Recovers

By Elton Camp

Gertrude had been in the hospital a week
To her husband the doctor sternly did speak

“It’s essential you wife not get out of bed,
So be certain that she doesn’t,” the doc said

George assured him that he would comply
That proper care he would be sure to supply

As soon as it was time a meal to prepare
He pushed Gert on her bed right in there

“Is this close enough to reach the stove okay?”
To his dear wife, lying on her bed, he did say

Daddy's Cappilary

Compelling to absorb pressure
Like water to a sandy soil
To make things to be of pleasure
For his family with his toil

He doesn't become weary
As water unto clay
That never give way teary
Even when it isn't a lovely day

Bills have to be payable
To keep bearing covers
As loamy do bear fruits of bubbles
Verily the feeding in folds recovers

Happy father's day to all fathers
And the ones to come
Afterwards out of been brothers
Live to be the best chum
