Water evaporates to...........
At the witness box
Redolent reverie
Rain-soaked in raspberry
Roses most delicate
Runes woven from star seeds
Refulgent petals swirl
Russet thorns of my heart
Regrets etched in kohl quartz
And when the shadow of a large boot blotted out the sun
I then knew my final day of reckoning was done
Now that I am on the other side
Free from pain and hurt I now reside
The hours they pour
Grains spotlight each moment
That plundered a life
Then lied to deny
The hours pour down
And tides do reveal
The Judge sees the heart
Hidden from men
With eyes that see and ears that hear,
but hearts that look away
Each child unkept—all life bereft,
to rue these mournful days
