A feel was born, a feel that grew
That caused you pain, hurt me too
Dreams you've seen, will come true
For if you lose hope, I'll see them for you.

our eyes met
and suddenly life began
I listened to every word consistently
as the truth was spoken
from his lips
his wet warm kissed
were his reassurance
that he would be there for me
while the skyline of eyes
peered aimlessly
Everyone deserves a hug.
A kiss, a warm touch.
Closeness and reassurance.
Love.
Even more so when you’re still radioactive.
We’ll get through this.
We’ll find a way.

in the cold and lost
From a temporary crisis,
—an unplanned confrontation
Does it wait for reassurance

All street lights were turned off tonight
Lost souls wandering to phone light
Mouthing words of reassurance
In twined with a nocturnal dance
Strangers mingle in unison
Until battery life was done
Just as power did reignite
They slipped back into the twilight
Emerging from a tunnel, I see figures moving about.
There are no clouds below us, but the universe swirls above.
A spirit approaches me, his demeanor devout,
as he offers reassurance I will rest peacefully in God’s love

Love their primary reflection
Opulent in their display
Wilting, inevitable with the passing of time
Everlasting the impression that they leave behind

I’m certain I don’t know
The future’s always with us
We ignore it even so
How to ease your worries
There are no guarantees
If what we know about our past

Sitting in the calmness
Eyes closed
Tides hush like a soft lullaby
Pebbles, as I dig my toes into the sand
Salted mist softly flowing through my hair
The morning rise freed from it’s purple slumber
Warmth on my skin like a gentle kiss
A calming reassurance of childhood days
Sitting in the dark
Waiting, waiting for someone to
find me
The emptiness inside my heart
Echos of sorrow reminds me of
death
Pity and reassurance do not
effect my walls
Missing the touch of someone
who loves me
Jealousy, anger, sadness.
All emotions of my empty
heart.

In the deep chair
I pile more books than I can read
within I search for answers
to end disquiet
studying words
reassurance through repetition
I am strongly comforted
by the written wisdom of those
who suffered before me
had my joy
ended their lives
raised their children
lost their minds
A philodendron cradles its young,
a winter's bud in February thaw.
Spring calls, its ancient rhyme of no-time
sings of days gone by.
Buds, with petals palm to palm, echo a reassurance song
of blossoms locked in heart-leaf care
as unborn babes evoke blessings soon to come.
We were worn from war,
emptied and exhausted,
with morose winter of psyche,
it took courage in calling,
crossing the dusky abyss.
We heard their collective
caring voices,
their calming connecting
reassurance.
They give their time just
for us,
it is now the morning of
our risings. ~
IN YOUR SUNSHINE I BATHED
Coming out of the shadows of doubt
I bathed myself in the sunshine of your credence
And rinsing my uneasiness with your calming reassurance,
Cleansed thus, whole I became once more-
A newly born heart- ready to love
Again!

this is normal —
water feels more like fire
destroying everything in its wake
tan turns to raw,
angry blisters
red fades
leaving pale skin
you no longer
recognize yourself
all you can do is cry
"This Is Normal"—
Reflections
resting on the water
are buoyant, but, calm with weightlessness
From above, the ancient moon seeks reassurance,
releasing her cloud-garments of opalescence_
Now, radiance on mirror's surface
invites a second look
