Thinking of You
Laying in your arms
Legs shaking
Hands sweating
Heart beating
I'm right where I belong
Then all of a sudden life changes
And everything around me rearranges
I'll never see you again
And now I finally realize
That you were meant to be with me
There's nothing more I can do
But I'll be waiting, thinking of you...

Paris
In winter, nothing gives.
The tree holds tightly to
its fistful of sky

while the wind arranges
and rearranges
some leaves
at the entrance to the Tuileries,

always seeking
a different disorder.

Premium Member The Climax
The nods pass from one balding head
to another, round the polished
oak table until it stops
with the head fringed with hair of white.
The collective pauses
while the somber man,
with heavy head,
rearranges the piles of paper.
Eyes catch on the grain
of the glowing wood.
His tired neck pulls his head
to meet the gaze of those others.
He clears his throat
to speak…...

Crushed Earth
I don't have to be
your ocean,
your sky,
your moon and stars and sun.

Just let me be the ground that carries your weight,
every move you make rearranges me.

Let me be the earth that is crushed with your heaviness,
all your steps marking over my flaws.

Please let me be honored by bearing the burden of the beauty that is you,
because in that gift I become the most beautiful me....

Dizzy
Chills interrupt me
Course of thought changes
Don't understand what I see
As the whole world rearranges

I squint to get a clear look in
Which transforms with every blink
Like a seconds glance is risky sin
As sight moves from scene to scene

Moments move and muses disappear
My expectations are erased
I question if I'm at fault here
But I sense it's just misplaced

Distractions
Attempting progession in a contented reality where old ideas and old memories flourish
Appreciation is an aquaintance of mine that keeps me leaving and coming back
I feel it as my head begins to drift into a world I know and causes me to retract
as curiosity centers my focus and rearranges my sequence,
I watch as emotions grow like a vine spiraling me into confusion and coaxing me into a dance
I focus....

The Widower
She still fills her housecoats
on cold nights.
The cat will always be
the shadow of her hand.
He will dwell in this home
that she wove around his recliner,
scrimshawing each thought
with her presence.
He mourns, not at the cemetery,
but from the other side
of a double bed.
He rearranges nick-knacks
by not touching anything.
He does however
place some sepia moments
in a shoe box
  she has provided....

The Ruby-Ic's Cube
She comes in colors.
Rearranges herself at will.
Masterful pen.
And a mind never still.

As imaged in my mind,
The Rube with a doob
in her left hand
Merlot in her right,
Penning her heart out,
All through the night...

Artist painting with words,
Colors she invents herself,
Every now and then a little humor,
Like a mischievous elf...

And so many love her,
And so glad she is back...
Especially me,
This old poetic hack....

Your diagnosis is not your destiny
Your diagnosis is not your destiny
Grace to you in this century
You shall receive mercy
Because you show mercy to others

Season's change
Life rearranges itself
In proportion to your faith
God is able
We see this throughout the Bible
So know that your diagnosis is not your destiny

Your diagnosis is not your destiny
Grace to you in this century
You shall receive mercy
Because you show mercy to others

Storm, In Charcoal
Etching, catching
drawn to sketching~
     ~Charcoal fingers
       dusting lingers
       fine upon your lines

Calling, falling
blackened sprawling~
     ~Pencil staining
       sweet refraining
       humming paper shines

Reaching, teaching
to beseeching~
    ~ Shading pages
       rearranges
       thoughts to scattered form

Reeling, peeling
to the ceiling~
     ~Forms awaken
       not forsaken
       charcoal, evening storm....

Money and the True You
People say that when people get money they change
No, money just brings the true you out
So before the new year comes in
The true me is coming out
Before the money comes in
I'm forgetting all of you
All of you who doubted me
All of you who played me fifty and all of you who think less of me
So now whats the excuse
I have no money
No money to make big changes
Just little changes with my associations
This will be apart of my new year's resolution
My life rearranges...

Premium Member God Never Disappoints
God makes Himself known in this morning’s neon sky.
His pops of blue amid painted amber clouds inspire hope.
I stare at as he rearranges the sky into newer creations.
There is a lamb, she soon floats into a dragon’s mouth.
Where is the lion? I wonder. I keep staring. Feeling reflective.
The sky is nurturing me, she inspires hope and peace.
I turn to go to the barn and there is the lion, peeking at me.
I smile and say “Thank you, God”. He never disappoints....

Momentum
playing' for change
turn on a dime

inna New York minute
the blinked eye

Fates heaven sent
this turn of events

gain the momentum
angels sent 'em

tide is turning
elation or angst

dare we dream
not what it seems

level suddenly tips
secondhand slips

avalanche breaks
trivial mistakes

everything changes
the world rearranges

mass and its velocity
a beautiful atrocity

seen from your eyes
looking so surprised

My Protector
When she's gone
I feel an immediate change
In the atmosphere
my whole life rearranges
I feel i'm going insane
whenever she leaves
I don't know why
but this friendship
keeps me sane
My whole life collapses
when she is away from me
and I find this very strange
that I could feel this way
about my her
and how when she's missing
I lose all sense of hope
But I guess it's cause
she's my protector
and without her
I just don't know
what would happen...
