in the rain forest
whip-like tendrils spiral trees
racing to the sun

When you are sitting in a tree
Way up high in the Amazon rain forest
And you turn and see amber eyes strolling toward you
Do not always assume they are the eyes of a jaguar
But if they are, jumping down will not help
They can jump down and catch you faster than you can scream...

Window- By Kylah Council
Windows bring light
Show you beyond,
What is bright

Windows-
Show you
A beautiful scene
And everything
That is green

Windows-
Are more than a rectangle
The can show you-
A rain forest
A jungle
Anything
In your imagination!

Windows-
Can show a beautiful
Paridise
Or
Can show
Todays life :/...

Rain Forest Zone
Where the zone reigns,
It often rains:
Soaked clouds permitted reins
That light up smiles of grains
On highlands and plains,
Overfilling drains:
Here no friendship feigns,
Skilled Planters for gains,
The unskilled its pains…

A worry for trains
And call for Brains
Over the water-covered rails
Or Engineering fails!...

Premium Member Mr Anaconda You Look Fine
Hello Mr. Anaconda
How fit and fine you look this morning!
Have you lost weight? You look terrific!

I am backing away slowly, not rapidly.
Hoping to buy myself a bit more time.
How long does it take five hundred pounds to move?

His big green eyes stare at me, mesmerizing me.
I am terrified. I turn and sprint away.
Not easy in the rain forest....

His Happy Place
I know it now.
I see green and blue.
I hear the birds song, singing his name.
It is thee most beautiful place to be.
I smell the wet dirt when it rains.
It is earth made.
What is that place you say?!
Rain forest.
                Rain forest....
He says!!
Now close those beautiful eyes of yours and there you'll be.
Sitting next to that blue water fall as you please....

DREAMING HOME…

In cosmic dreams,
I’ve waded the Nile
In golden Nubian sunsets;

Felt the warm breath
Of Sahara breeze
Kiss my cheeks;

Made my bed in tall savanna grass
And cooled my soul
In rain forest dew;

I’ve crouched beneath Gold Coast palms:
A palm wine drunkard…
Arms flung wide;

My soul
Has soared
Atop Uhuru Peak:

Yes,
I too,
Dream of Africa....

Rain-Forest Walk
Enter the emerald tunnel at dawn
Before a sultry blanket of tell-uric air descends,
Follow the metronomic drip
On which the symphonic faunal orchestra depends

World Heritage renowned
Immersing in uniquely tantalizing scenery
Diminishing beyond repair
Emerge then from entangled greenery

Beside a crystal cascade
Rest a while, meditate
Plunge into the icy pool
Let nature's beauty rejuvenate....

The trees soar high into the sky
Monkeys dangling, now swing
filling the air with screeches
Colourful parrots take to wing
of reds, yellows and oranges
drowned by the dripping water.

Man-eating plants on guard,
Fresh rivers of fruit and bark
ground to the gorilla
Orchids of oxygen supply the wind
Vines hang peacefully throughout
the rainy garden.

A Poem of Rains
When black clouds cover the sky
and cold winds blow strongly
There will be rain soon
Nobody goes out of home…

Rains fall on the trees, on houses
and on the green fields of crops
Rains make the lands fertile and
bring sweet drinking water for us……

A cloudy day makes me nostalgic
A rainy day let me write a poem of
childhood memories (of few decades old)……

I hear the songs of rain in my mind
I get the smell of a wild flower
in a rain forest…….....

Of Pulp Trees and Degrees
That big, elusive doctorate degree,
pretty much like an emperor's decree;

a kind of fetish that academes require,
         sort of survival kit one must acquire;

within the realm of the university,
part of the myth of tenured security;

its twin is the rule: "publish or perish,"
         a choice most faculty hate to cherish;

and yet they churn out books with little rest,
paperwork enough to clear a rain forest!...

The Situation
The lovely fog
roared through the rain forest.

Smearing blind velvet eyes
in the tropical season.

Bliss crust showering
the ungraceful carpet of decaying leaves.

Animals scattered
W I L D
like cions in a purse.

Evil prowling
through the terrified animals.

Domination felt
through the large kings
of the jungle.

Middle class mammals meander about
their senses heightened for murderous creatures
that stalk on the dark forest floor....

The Planet
I cant believe it's happening
Most people do not care
But everyone is guilty
Of putting a hole in the ozone layer

The time has come to think about
Just what we're going to do
The polar caps are melting
And the animals suffer to

They say look to the future
But the future's looking bleak
To chop down a rain forest
May only take a week

We need to stop all fighting
We don't have time to row
We need to save our planet
And we need to save it now...

Juliane Koepcke Diller
Survived a plane crash that was killer.
Struck by lightning, the plane fell from the sky.
She landed in the Amazon, the only one who didn't die.

5/19/21
Juliane Koepcke Diller was the sole survivor of the LANSA Flight 508 plane crash in 1971. She fell 3000 meters (9,843 ft.) into the Amazon rain forest still strapped in her seat. She survived for 10 days alone in the rain forest with injuries before being rescued.

The sun's yellow rays filtered though the gray skies
The foliage damp from the previous rain
The humidity clung like a leech would cling to the skin
I could not wipe the dampness away
Sunbeams drenched upon my back
My face became droplets of moisture
Clinging ,with no where to escape
The heat intensifies and the greenery sprung forth
The petals delighting in the new precipitation
As the rainbow began to fade in the sky
I am walking where life and death hold constant beauty.
