Short Raddled Poems

Confined, slowly lightness vanishes
Darkness engulfed me
No longer at peace
Tatterdemalion mind, 
Has curved me into shard
As I try to escape my mind raddled
Feels like I'm in hoosgow
Slowly hope in me fades 
I wait in aweary
Haggard, 
Hopelessly, 
I am caged, 
Within my mind...

This anxiety has my mind always tweaking,
Bottled up energy about to blow my beacon,
Shattered with everything I am always seeking,
Raddled with misery with the fear that is leaking. 

Depression squeezing,
Time slowly seizing
Motions always wheezing
Coasting and never feeling
Roasting and always freezing
Fleeing but never leaving...

in the middle it all muddles
like warm milk that is now curdled
once it cuddled all soft and swaddled
no longer a rhyme, no, more a riddle
a heart that somehow becomes raddled
a canoe adrift without the paddles
a bucking horse without a saddle
a losing team that needs a huddle
in the midst a great big puddle
it was always a losing battle
all it does is squeak and rattle
all of this leaving me befuddled...

I have held my last pot of hot soup
I've come to the end of my threads
Befraggled and muffed
Bedraggled and fruffed
A raddled cloth corpse that's dead
Frayed so soft and shabby 
As the cotton boll that bore me
Worn to a frazzle
I have lost all my dazzle
Faded and haggard and tatty
So tattered in my casing
My splayed stuffing is facing
The dog who has chewed
What was left!
