The Night
Leaping light in dull darkness
Moonlight mambo in nightfall nets
Mediative minds in spurring spaces
Vocal visions in vacant vicinities
Enlightened eyes in doubtful decisions
Queuing quietness in spooky serenities
Peaceful presence in rambunctious reality...

I Have a Dream
A great storm was brewing
Large numbers queuing

Thunderstorms rolling, lightning blazed
Throngs of people held spellbound, amazed

Trees swayed with arms raised
Nature too had joined in praise

Sceptics unable to accord him such praise
It was Martin Luther King's "I have a dream" address....

Needlephobia
In the phlebotomy room,
there came a woman
And a man
And their lad
Inquiring, queuing

‘My blood, I give to you;
draw and draw freely,
I have no qualms’
The lad started,
Responding, boasting

‘Yes, you can draw
by every means you choose
save with this needle!’
The lad protested,
Sobbing, struggling...

Premium Member Sounds Long Gone
Shop bells tinkling from eight 'til late
queuing customers having to wait;
Thursday,closing at noon
opportunity to court and spoon.

Collection boxes built into walls,
gossiping ladies in their shawls;
Bells pealing on the hour,
drays pulled by one horse power.

Factory hooters' blowing
Moring cocks' a crowing;
Cycle bells a-ringing,
Food home delivery a-bringing....

Visiting Santa
You have to wait in line
To see Santa, but that’s fine
It’s worth every minute of queuing
And the anticipation of viewing
Santa Claus with his big belly
Wobbling like a bowl full of jelly
And his fruity chuckle you hear
In the Christmas grotto each year
Then you get to climb onto his lap
And have your special Christmas chat
Then all too soon its time to go
And Santa gives you a HO HO HO...

The Greatest One
Oh! the greatest one,
The only I believe in,
Than friends I meet everyday

Your existence in silence,
In the deepest hearts

Earth, galaxies and great creations
Leading scientist to compete
Interpret yours into queuing puzzles
In voyage of million light years

I only see and read your signs
Through your trusted people and holy books
Never be in competition
But I believe in supreme you
Than logic and them
Oh! the greatest one...

A Wish
A Wish

For children sired from out of wedlock
Roaming the streets, begging for alms
With weary eyes from a day’s plight
To get their crumbs and spare the night

For girls robbed and sanctity trampled
Buried in rut, and scared to move
Spurned and cast away from home
With queuing lads to buy her form

For souls scorned and gloomed
Who live a life of doom and misfortunes
May find their life at the end of the fork
Espousing all strength, and daring to move....

Spam Fritter Again
Being a non meat eater
I'll never eat a spam fritter again,
So why is the special offer on the counter so inviting?
Am I back at school again?
Queuing up for dinner
And hoping for something nice.
No menus then,
Probably just as well,
And the fritters are there
With baked beans and chips,
Treacle tart and custard for afters.
So I'm in the queue
Feeling dippy in the chippy,
Longing for something
I can't really have.
Veggie Spam anyone?
Didn't think so....

People
Walking, sitting, talking everywhere
People standing, please don't stare
Running, Jogging around the park
Please don't go there after dark.

Screaming, yelling, children shout
Mothers queuing at the checkout
Singing, dancing, laughing, crying
Babies born people dying.

Daylight now is growing dim
Chance of a visitor now slim
Settling in the old armchair
I'm sure I should be elsewhere.

Talking on the mobile phone
Sat at home all alone
Locking up for the night
Waiting for tomorrows daylight....
