Queenly green wings cover
Quivering red belly.
Quick to find holes in trees,
Quiet there for safety.
Quite vocal while mating,
Quaver slurred notes in songs.
Quaint bird of Mayan cult....

It's your birthday, and
It's plain, Fair Elizabeth
Of the Queenly name, life
Will never be the same, now
that you are fourteen, and,

With her queenly ego, she said, "My name is now Princess".
And so they complied ~ a loyal crew, whom by her words were led.
Then one day, she chose to change, and took the name of "Mrs."
She had a crown she did not know, the brain within her head....

Potty Timing 3
she sits
queenly
upon the
thrown
she was
told to
sit upon

she
doesn't
know
but sort
of has
an idea
why

she is
being
treated so
majestically
suggestively
after eating
and drinking

her fill
she now
is told that
since you
put it in
it must
come

out...

Rooting For 8 To 5
The beeches

Three queenly beeches on an English hill,
Tree spirits, sisters, who kept watch for centuries.
Root ridges cross and knit a wooden carpet;
Bare branches tangle, twist, and leave a mosaic,
Like stained glass windows, of pale April sky.

Indifference
Happy she drifted to July
Almond cakes and oranges she sought
He breathed amongst the trees
In the hush
he offered wind lashed skies

His stares are thread worn
and they creak
He complains when I came
and talks when I go
Everything mattered I believed
then died a bit
under a heap of leaves
The Queenly seat is empty
in the woods that held me...

Here She Comes
She comes in her Queenly Gait.
Not of Royalty but a Queen she is.
Her stride the Glide of Elegance.
Her Complexion the Early Morning Shine.
Her Carriage a Graceful Glamour.
Her Dentition the Glister of Gem.
Her Smile an Alluring Appeal.
Her Voice a Sonorous Rhythm.
Her Physique the Built of Venus.
Her Beauty the Glow of Nature.
Her Person is None but You.
She is You and You are Her.
HAPPY VALENTINE....

Premium Member Puce
Despicable
Marie Antoine
dressed in puce
paraded
her gown,
with a queenly
high head,
the pretty
little tome
soon to be
cropped.
When the chopper
had his way,
her head
came off
and her face
turned puce.
Was it purple
or puke green?
Maybe that’s the
reason puce is so
confusing.
In Marie’s case
she was not
confused,
just dead.

Premium Member What Is To Come
She sits on the park bench
a flock of pigeons carrying her memories away.
An unleashed dog sat with her a while
Left to chase a squirrel
The well-dressed pass her by
As if she wasn’t there.
A child in a carriage
Gives her a “queenly” wave,
She listens,
Eavesdrops
As Fall whispers
Scattered secrets
To fallen leaves.

She sits, alone but not lonely
For she knows who she is
Rejoices in what was
Awaits
What is to come....

Harp and Flute
Harp and flute

Fingers bled of love by the strings of the harp,
Eyes filled with tears, mingled in the drops of blood,
As the flute elated sucked and kissed the slaughtered,
Love and hate, tears and blood, such are the broken hearts.

A song of love and sadness poignantly dejected,
The harp so majestically and queenly on it mimicked,
The flute so princely and so kingly on it emoted,
So eternally, beautifully and so perpetually, such achingly is how it hurts....

Moon Rising
Ocean rising--such silent splendor--
she stains a golden passage on the waves;
blushing not, though borrowed brilliance
is the only light she ever gave.
Lesser celestial lamps, bright retinue,
honor her regal queenly estate;
yielding obeisance to her power,
seasons and tides bow at her gates.
Royally she rides the Milky Way,
stardust blithely trailing in her train;
lonely earth lovers, looking upward,
stabbed in their souls with longing pain.

Jealousy
Crazed commotion commercialized
Addictive actions appraised
Watching wearily waiting
Glances, glimpses gazed

Cell phone checked consistently
No new numbers needing names
Conniving, covetous and creative
Greedy gigantic game

Where, who and what?
Questions queenly quailed
Answers acquiring accuracy
For a fearing fortress failed

Captured confidence compiling
Suspicions a soaring social sight
Distrusting defiant diligence
Readily rehearsing rights

Premium Member Madame De Pompadour
Listen to poem:
Have you met my lady cat
A most prestigious aristocrat
She's of extremely dignified ascent
Genuine regal blue blood descent
Everyday might as well be a holiday
My lady’s a class act in every way
Elegant and graceful as they come
Madame de Pompadour quite venturesome
Prances proud in her queenly manner
That's how she graces my humble manor
