Remodel
Drive nails in the stud
Priming over stains and crud
Floating beds of mud

Sky Catcher
I hear a little red robin,
she sings a happy tune.

I see a proud hoot owl,
she flies high by the glow of the moon.

I see a nesting snow white dove,
She's priming her soft feathery breast.

I see the old gray alley cat,
And she's put them all to rest....

Premium Member Wellspring
Listen to poem:
A wellspring deep within,
a vital force creative,
is quelled to dry spells
by diversions, doubts
and distractions.
Like a pump needs priming
to flow again,
a wellspring needs prompting
and dry-runs
to get it brimming again.
Keep drawing on your wellspring
every single day,
imbibing its nectar lovingly,
and it will never run dry....

Hands of a Worker
His hands were calloused...
From many years of skillfull craftsmanship.

Her hands were soft...
From many years of priming and polishing.

His hands were scarred...
From many years of fighting.

Her hands were cut...
From many years of gardening.

All of our hands are different and tell a different story...
but everything we do is for a purpose....

Put Your Mind To Rest
An empty space
Fade to black
Exposed for the taking
Vital is this
Open lot to sanity
Brace yourself
Darker than the night
Brighter than the sun
Bask in the glow
Of peace and calm
Life is started here
Ends here and
In every sense
Regenerated here
Brief recesses
Gallivanting in the cortex
Refresh my soul
Priming me to face
The universe once again...

Premium Member Why Do I Have This Need
We are given an opportunity to share a celebration
at each weekly Wednesday morning faculty meeting.
I was determined not to be the first one every single time.
I held myself back the last two meetings.
But today BAM there went my hand.
I have no idea why I find it necessary to be first.
Am I helping the boss?
Am I priming the pump?
Or am I just being me?...

Skyward
Skyward turn my eyes and dream
The surface clouds,
Drifting in the blue,
Dispersing and reforming.
Amorphous by their nature,
The ether of emotions,
Summer white
Or thunder storming.

To you I tilt sequential,
Fractions and equations,
Priming of the heart,
Charging and imploring.
Skyward turn my eyes, and cry
Into the heavens,
My heart of hearts
For you is soaring....

A Lost Candy Is Handy
Now, you see your mislaid candy,
Still your very property and handy.

So, don’t words with your sister bandy
Nor repeat that her hair is sandy:
You might be saying she was The Thief,
Recklessly priming her for noisy grief;
For that’s what ‘Sandy’ supplies in brief
Whilst no daughter thief is fathered by a chief …

And-Alas!-you let candy your mind swirl
Whereas neither gender nor age makes you a girl....

Words like wild cards
Bubbly bright bard

Words in fresh scripts
Ideas now rip

Jumpy jerks bounce
Watch how words pounce

Craft a fat chance
Drill that dream dance

Word for word frame
Niche no sense name

Fruits of deep thought
Poke a sweet spot

Lift laughter loud
Poise priming proud

Choice clusters poise
Love sizzles voice
