An empty oat meal box,
was my drum.
Two pencils,
fashioned my only sticks.
Didn’t have many suckers,
just my thumb.
But I had oodles,
inside my bag of tricks.
“You’ve heard the old saying
we were as poor as Job’s Turkey”?
Well, this predated Job even having a turkey.
But Boy, I have been blessed since!
