Plonker

If someone calls you a plonker, plonk them on their bean They're not being nice so my advice, mess em up, make a scene But be sure to clean up the blood Learned this from my British bud Else you'll be involved with a fellow inmate, a ex-marine named Jean

Wine

Drink it
Imbibe it
Slurp it
To some it's the devils liquid
To others it hides their pain
To a few it's money down the drain

Plonk
Never makes you drunk
Posh
Over priced flop

Drink and forget the world around you
Ponder the demons that inhabit you
Don't let this substance ruin you

Sounds

Bang Bang
Clang Clang
Plop Plop
Drip Drop
Boom Boom
Zoom Zoom
Clomp Clomp
And Stomp
Honk Honk
Plink Plonk
Knock Knock
And Rock
Tap Tap
Rap Rap
Shout Shout
And Holler
Bell Bell
Ring Ring
Whisper Whisper
THEN SING!

Self Inflcted

The drop of blood hit the clear
water exploding, dispersing
like smoke in air. A second
drop then a third in the same
manner, my very being drains
before my eyes. Plink, plonk,
the waters hue now a subtle
shade of pink, deeper with
every droplet. I now gaze that
rouge reflection and think to
myself, it's about time I put
a new razor blade in this razor.

Tears In the Rain

Listen to poem:
Raindrops on window
coalesce to create rivulets,
that run down the window pane.

They are like teardrops,
which emanate from pain deep within,
and which run down the face,
leaving snail trails that glisten,
showcasing the ache and suffering amassed.

Seldom do these drops
free-fall on a chute,
but when they do
they splatter with
a splish, splosh, plonk
and shatter,
leaving a spray pattern
as clear evidence on the ground.

Sink Or Swim

Into the little pond I jump.....Landing with a noisy… plonk
Legs go up…… legs go down
I can go like this all day…. Treading water all the way.

Now you see me ....now you don’t
Who am I….can you say ?
Here’s a clue … to help you find your way.

I change color frequently…to blend in with the scenery
Can you guess who I am ?
Think…… Geddup.…..Think.
A little tadpole learning how to swim.
                                                            See my grin?

Life, Thine Name's To Wait

A long wait in vain
Leaves me lost in rain-refrain,
Plonk, plonk… and long wait,

Back to whence began,
Back to day-dreaming again,
Life, what else but wait!

Poet’s note: Monsoon has been for ages in many parts of the world a keenly awaited season in a year. And the anxiety for a timely rain is understandable; a monsoon lover like me included. This Haiku is an outcome of one such wait, a day-dream bordering on hallucination.
