Premium Member Placated
It all has to be
Placated
Personified
Persisted
And then
One day
It all falls down
After when
I leave this town...

Pretty pancake peacock pointedly persuaded powerhouse pig
To publicly plan porcupine’s playful pink planetary probability placement.

"epiphany"
Enigmatic is the soul
Preponderance found within great luminosity
Intrinsic of mind and body
Placated by the serenity of prayer
Harmony instilled through revere of faith
Affliction bound by His word
Nirvana the ultimate reward
Yearning for it's final resting place...

Premium Member The Day the Granny Smith Apple Fell
When the apple dropped on Sir Newton's bean,

   He cursed naughty words making quite a scene!

      He was somewhat placated,

         When to him 'twas related,

            He'd found gravity, wholly unforeseen!

Empathy Trap
Magnus can’t run wild
since he bolts
once given liberty
of tether.

I identify with his struggle
as he pulls with vigor
to center the fray
in frolic

only to get denied
with a plaintive yank
at the limit of
influence,

placated and sequestered
in a panting pen
without regard for
dignity.

As I unclasp his
durable chain,
he licks my face
then jets off....

Poetic Change
Interesting
 how the same words once iterated
 tend to flow, just a little differently
 than ever before, now placated.

The rhyme pursued,
 free verse deludes
 standards not quite right
 or good enough this night.

There lay a transition
 new poetic positions
 for the poets listening
 intent of finding what is missing.

Who decides
 what is poor or best
 as a heart and mind abide
 the poetics of poetry's tests.

Premium Member I'M In a Ny State of Crime
Placated and simply set free
In NY it's a matter of degree
Bail's not always necessary

They didn't harm, only robbed
how terrible could that be

Felons will be back at your door
looking for more,
of what you worked for

No longer detainees
it's almost guaranteed
they'll take what they please

Pols want you to appease
and forgive the sleaze
just give them keys

But, you might eschew PC
and leniency
after losing all that you had...

Premium Member Family Reunion At Oinkington Inn
Let’s stay at Oinkington Inn the easily pleased relative said.
Her husband looked at brochure and said I’d rather be dead.
The pigs are lovely, she replied. There is nothing to dread.
He told her to go to her family reunion with her cousin Ned.

The sows and hogs were truly placated and fine.
We visited them near an old abandoned crystal mine.
You should come next time to the reunion, she said.
Best part is, a sow ran off with my mean cousin Ned....

No Regrets
On the day of new claimed values
Dawn was celebrated together
Abscond to a new life just to breathe
Gone are the days of your fair weather

Morning comes, life goes on
Warnings forgotten, party harder
Mourning a youth wasted in drinks
Adorning memories with placated ardor

Who will remember your remorse but you?
You regret for no absolute reason
To admit to yourself, nothing stays the same
True remains the thought throughout your seasons....

Premium Member OPEN AND CLOSED HEART-BEATS--
As my soul heart has a door that is closed;
Noise speaks loudness of per encapsulates;
My vessel contrite I am breathing bruise;
Broke heart open door that I may embrace;
Tears drops down my chin, my cheek, my whole face;
Breaths distorts ultimately---placated;
My arms and hands grasp holds implicated;
Opening and shutting of my heart strings;
Serrated set heart strung constipated;
As my soul heart has a door that is closed;

A Mask
Solitude behind the disguise.
Displaced smiles,
we see only in eyes.

Will we ever reach out
to each other in friendship?
Or will fear guide our hands to our sides?

Necessary distance,
alone in a spaced out crowd.
Walking hurried, no time.

Safety in isolation.
Contact no longer needed,
in keeping with the paradigm

Fear in high numbers
greatly denied for a moment,
placated with guarantees.

Denied closeness,
weeping for our past.
Do we invite to death's door to appease?...
