Poetic Change

Interesting
how the same words once iterated
tend to flow, just a little differently
 than ever before, now placated.

The rhyme pursued,
 free verse deludes
 standards not quite right
 or good enough this night.

There lay a transition
 new poetic positions
 for the poets listening
intent of finding what is missing.

Who decides
 what is poor or best
as a heart and mind abide
 the poetics of poetry's tests.

I can relate big time DM, and if folk don't like my style or my word choices so be it - my muse is being fickle too which doesn't help the situation! hugs jan xx

DM, Some things always seem to go missing. Like socks in the laundry. They promise to return someday to poets that listen. -Richard

Interesting musings tonight. As they say of real estate, so is it also true of words: Location, location, location. ~ gw
