Premium Member Everything Just So
Green grass, cut once or twice weekly
A CEO might shave twice a day

Edges and hedges trimmed nicely too
Manicure, pedicure in seven days due

Rolling lawns with everything just so
Like the ascot of the CEO

If underneath lurks mud, ooze and slime ~
Grounds for the perps to do time

The Fight
Nantucket was a bully in town
And he pushed everyone around
From storekeepers to clerks
He had no special perps
Until he met Black-flag
Who gave him a special tag
Nantucket ducked and dodged
But Black-flag fist was too large
Nantucket was tag not once but twice
That changed him from nasty to nice
Right now, he’s a bully no more
Because Black-flag tossed him out the door...

A Stabbing
A student who was stabbed to death,
It’s horrible to learn,
Was set upon by kids so young
It made my stomach turn.

One robber, 13 years of age,
Took part in the attack.
For criminals of such an age,
There is no going back.

I know that’s pessimistic
But a teen who has a knife
Shouldn’t, with things being equal,
Have such disregard for life.

Though rehabilitation
May be ordered by the state
For both the victim and the perps,
It seems too little much too late....

Disfigured
Someone disfigured our car
And really, I think, went too far.
No tires were slashed;
No windshield was smashed
But the perps seemed to lower the bar.

A sticker was placed on the back
Which felt just like a coward’s attack;
On the metal, not bumper
And left by a Trumper,
Both reason and cause it did lack.

My husband did what he could do
And scraped it all off, but some glue
Seemed to stick; what he saw
Still is stuck in my craw –
Seeing red makes me feel much more blue....

Perps On Planes
Passengers on planes who balk
At following the rules
Should not be seen as harmless,
Merely acting out like fools.

For disobeying mandates,
Flying trapped up in the air,
Is a risky proposition,
Which to seatmates is unfair.

A threat to flight attendants,
Fellow passengers or crew
Should make flying, for the perpetrators,
Totally taboo.

Arresting those offenders
Who cause on-board stress and strife
Isn’t punishment enough – they should
Be cuffed, then banned for life....
