Auburn In the Wind
Leaves on a Japanese Maple
dance auburn in the wind
remind me of that mother

crossing Michigan Avenue
before the light changes
one hand on her buggy

the other on her little boy
wind in her auburn hair
a long pennant flaring

telling all of Chicago
it's Spring, by gosh!
it’s finally here

That is certainly an embarrassing shame when seven errors are committed in a game. While this team is vying for a pennant, the stands are rife with discontent. A cascade of boos should be coming your way. That’s what you get for such lousy play. Is that how you professionals earn your pay? With play like that, don’t expect to finish first. Keep it up, and you will be among the worst.

Peachy Whirls
Oh, such amorous flamenco A bailaora who whirls fervidly Nascent paltriness, a winged coo Unruffled yet sways seamlessly To grasp is to grin and bear it To ace is quite an arduous drill To master is to act with grit And delectate the peachy whirl One oblique pennant of breath Suchlike to humane multitude Defiance from old shibboleth A vagueness of life’s certitude 09.23.17

Freedom
I emotionally desire the experience to be free,
where i yearn to stand undisturbed like a tree.

They say time can to so much, in my case so little,
i can feel myself interchange and becoming heavily brittle.

I long to recognize the sensation to be free,
i wish you were aware of how tender it is to be me.

My pennant days and lack of self confidence is something i cannot choose to ignore,
and now i am heartfelt like never before....

These players are very athletic and adroit. This baseball team represents the City of Detroit. The fans who attend their games are happy as a lark. These boys play their home contests at Comerica Park. With hitting and pitching, this team has gotten it all together. Their fans just hope Detroit has plenty of sunny weather. The Tigers are playing well during this current campaign. Perhaps a pennant is something this team can attain. July 27, 2013

Take the Washington Metro, and get off at the Navy Yard. Getting to and from Nationals Park is not hard. The baseball team is making itself a name. They send the other teams off losing in shame. The Nats have been winning games at a torrid pace. Have you seen the standings lately? They are in first place. Washington baseball teams have been known for futility. No Washington team has won a pennant since 1933. If they won this year, wouldn’t that be good to see?

Premium Member Cookie Rojas
Your major league career started in Cincinnati. Some years later, it ended in Kansas City. You played every position, but primarily second base. Many seasons involved a pennant chase. Not many knew your real name was Octavio. The nickname “Cookie” is the one we would know. You came a long way from your origins in Cuba. Your had your best seasons while playing for Philadelphia. As a player and later a coach, you could do it all. In your time, you were an asset to baseball.
