Tranquil

dawn mist calm lake, serene placid sky, clouds pegged still dozing, in and out of dream time, at peace

End of An Era

A time-honored system of old
Pegged cold cash to ounces of gold
But that’s not now true
Strong dollars are through
The treasure at Fort Knox is mold

The Opposite of Cool

Nikola Jokic, the opposite of cool
The woke NBA had him pegged for a fool

Calmly drops in 40 a night with 20 rebounds
Lebron and Jimmy B. had to call off the hounds

Devils In the Night

devils haunt my night
the ones that pegged me
as their scapegoat
long ago ~

to forgive and forget
once and for all
i wish i could
for peaceful sleep

IS IT LOVE ?

While wondering wishfully, you
certainly got tired with each of
your relation.

Penetrating Pain pegged a pin
in your heart before you realized
that I am enough for you.

But you were you.

My menacing mind won't
accept the truth as my
tender tears are just
water droplets to you.

Genus

"Genus"

taxonomic
classifying worth
separating the yolk
from the white
like poets pegged
on a line to dry
still and wet
behind the ears
years slapped
heartily away
and back into
the shore
like tides
to bare feet

hear them cry

Trapped and Pegged

Hangin' in there is all that I can do
My owner has trapped me, stuck me on a peg
All I was doin' was fun to ensue
Running as fast as I could on my limber leg
Right now I really don't like my owner Meg

Clothesline

I pegged them out on my clothes line,
   Like puppets on a string.
Those baggy pants fit for a clown,
   Such laughter they did bring.

That claret shirt, high as a kite,
And three sheets to the wind.
They will dry out, to my delight,
My wet suit it has sinned.

   George. Seal. 4/ 1/ 2015.
   No. 3 clothesline.
   Let me feel your lines.

An American Bastard In London

Surfing her parks hanging out at the johns
Playbook play writes recipricated his southside
Invasion rock their dock in red rag love make-up wardrobe ?
We knew of a bit it was your solo show and she really likes her numbers
Makes the _itch feel somehow secure while their slobbering about someone's
Fornication playing songs as cutting lines desperation pegged in tears surfing this goodbye.

Failure To Come To a Complete Stop

Auto battery.
Clicking.
Depleted energy.
Feeling grumpy, harried,
Impatiently jump-start Kia.
Leave Mom’s neighborhood.
Octagonal, purely quintessential red sign taunts.
Upping velocity, willfulness exacerbated, you zoom…

Yikes!

Extraneous white vehicle (undercover) trumpets sirens.
Realization quickens… Pegged!
Officer notes makeshift license knowingly.
Jail imbues hastily.
Gaining freedom – eight-thousand dollars cash.

Busted again.

Washing Day

On her green washing day
Una wore green too,
and pegged the washing out along the line.
They were green pegs of course,
with red monkeys on the top
to please the children.

It was nice to see her pegging
in the careless wind
and watching monkeys dancing...
These danced in unison -
twenty monkeys at a time with Una,
in amongst the washing.

Death On a Dunghill

Her rest lie at the dung hill
Curled in a fetal form
curled in lasting pang
calling out in vain
life is Pain
life is vain
alas, the lie has been pegged
Hmm, here comes the damned
piling the dung
piling her heap
thus spreading her space
Beauty has a cloaking face
Beauty has no name
Hailed, sung and cherished by the day
With the damned
piling the dunghill
With the damned
Enslaving her brain
Now she is a waste
Behold in pity
Behold in vain
Beauty on a dunghill is vain

Acorns

Snap crack the hard
Pebbled acorns ricochet
As if thrown by invisible
Hands of nature’s forces
Some fall straight
Others propel with
Unjust uncertainty and
Deliverance passerby
Pegged and peppered
Squirrels intent on
Getting their winter
Food source fulfilled
Scurry around burying
The acorns in
Potted plants, piles of
Leaves or any such
Hiding spot
I often wander how
They remember where
Each and every
Hidey hole is?
Such is wildlife
Trials and tribulations
