Living is an opened wound,
paths collide,
beating beings
exterminate themselves
immolate...
Once in a while love...!
Visible
Invisible
Its aura.
Wrapping
And unwrapping me.
Once in a while
Made of electric.
In blue tissue
My fractal flower.
My Wife is a jewel of the nile
Who yells only once in a while
I give her a smile
And plead my denial
She keeps all her complaints on file.
Edward Estlin Cummings so inventive
penned poetry so sensitive
He loved to write in lower case style
interspersed by CAPITALS once in a while
Today I’m grateful for the ability to take a moment
every once in a while…
to remember the joy there is in a hug…
and the beauty in a smile.
Once in a while
Think upon
All that has
Happened
all that could
Have been
All that could
Be
Then I remember
That what you see
Is what you get
Be the most utmost you that you can be.
Not once in a while, but daily. Every single minute.
The world is counting on it
Because you are the only you we have.
The Rain..
The Sun..
A Smile..
An encouraging word..
A hug..
A good book..
A good laugh..
A good cry..
A vacation..
I wouldn't want to imagine life without them....
Form:
I think, every once in a while
We are made to bend backwards until we snap in half
I think, I would have less of an issue with that
If I knew why I broke so easy.
There once was a man named Quentin
Who rhymed with things that were lent, 'n'
Then once in a while
He'd rhyme with a smile
'N' put stuff he really hadn't meant in!
Once in a while
The sun sets
On a calm day
And everything is peaceful
In this troubled world.
W.A CHOLT. Copyright Fergal O Reilly. 2019.
Decided to write about love and life
Odd for me, inspired by nature's slice
But for this silly guy
Every once in a while
Get all gushy and mushy in love's paradise
Once in a while everything gets tough
and I break down and cry,
but that doesn't mean much.
Sometimes I am lonely and I want to be alive
but I always make it through because of you.
Form:
A mind craves stimulation
especially as it ages
Without a kick in the head
(once in a while)
The indoor plumbing may shut down
Apologies for my antics,
I am told I am a sphincter,
once in a while I pucker and kiss,
leave something on your face.
Lowbrow nasty, gross seepage,
poetic disgrace, for good imagery.
She deals In electronic advice
With HI-def wifi dreams
And shares some simple prose
On death or love, cliches
And Once in a while,
she'll show off her smile
But not without someone to see
They come and go; haunt
us once in a while; court
us without our consent
Manifestation of fear
is their breath; tear
of terror appearing to bear
its fangs if our courage isn't near.

Can't forget the man from Malta, Paul Callus
In his poems he shows absolutely no malice
Once in a while
He turns on the smiles
Girlies are all competing to live in his palace

Isn't really as hard to distinguish from fact
as news shows would have one believe.
Nor is blithering idiocy from
that which is easily verifiable..
if one doesn't mind getting up off one's ass
every once in a while.
All odds to make good
All wrongs to do correct
Love to have in full not less
A beautiful song like marriage
To fight once in a while
After an hour to smile
A beautiful World to own
Hearts to join one to one
Sometimes,
I think of the sun and moon as lovers,
Who rarely meet, always chase,
And almost always miss one another,
But once in a while, they do catch up,
And they kiss, and the world stares in awe of their eclipse,
More often than not
The mind is mellow
Frequently
The mind is focused
Sometimes
The mind is unsure
Once in a while
The mind is enraged
And then
The mind has flashes of inspiration
Undeniably
The mind is amazing
Instead of our priest standing still,
Must be placed on revolving pedestal;
When we see him will have a thrill.
Jim Horn
Our priest refuses to turn around
and look ar choir during his sermon
every once in a while.
Form:
smell the roses once in a while
fall in love a couple of times
live your life with generosity
never lose your awe
find your true North Star
be as brave as the Lion
paint, write, sing,
do whatever makes you happy
Of all my travels from desert to desert
There was an oasis once in a while
Though mirages seemed to taunt and deceive
And claim beauty though they were barren inside
I survived.
And moved on.
And left the barrens behind.
